ALJAZ BEDENE'S dream of playing for Britain in the Davis Cup lies in tatters after he lost his appeal yesterday.
The naturalised British tennis star has been left reeling by the ITF's decision and now must try to get his head straight for his Miami Open first-round clash this afternoon.
Bedene is ranked almost 60 places higher than his opponent, world No.114 Roberto Carballes Baena, and is 2-7 at Paddy Power to make the second round, with the Spaniard 3-1 at bet365.
The women's Miami action features the likes of former Grand Slam winners Ana Ivanovic and Petra Kvitova as they look to avoid an early exit.

Very hard mountain stage today, the final climb is 18km long with the finish on 1900m.

Too much question marks around Rodriguez. He was ill a couple of weeks ago and haven’t had any good results yet this season. Uran did ok in yesterday’s stage and was close in the mountain stage in Algarve. Other bookies have this one the other way round.

Price is a bit short. Martin did great yesterday at a finish which really suited him. Today will be a lot harder for him and I can’t see him beating Zakarin who is riding with the best at the moment. Zakarin also won the hard mountain stage in Paris-Nice.

This price is way too big. Kwiatkowski’s team Sky have 2 better riders than him at the start with Stannard and Rowe. Kwiatkowski hasn’t done much cobblestone races in the past and I can’t see him competing with the best here. Boom is a specialist on this kind of terrain and is the team leader for team Astana and is expected to do well. I will also be raining in the morning causing wet and greasy roads, something Boom loves as an ex cyclo cross World champion.
Will have some more bets on E3 later on.

I think (and hope) he will win this race. He is in amazing form and his worst result in his last 9 races on the highest level in pro cycling is 12th. Believe me, that’s insane. He was 2nd in 2013 and won this race in 2014. He had a bad start to 2015, but became World champion in the end and started the new season on that same level.
