OVER in the Far East we have the True Thailand Classic at the beautiful Black Mountain GC where strategy and approach shots could be important.
In the last couple of weeks of February one of my Six of the Best for this year, Peter Uihlein, has looked to come good. In Malaysia at the Maybank he finished T98 and followed that up with a T4 at the ISPS Handa Perth International.
I think he can go better this week. His driving accuracy is his Achilles heel at the moment but GIR of 67.7% and putts per round of 28.8 could pull him through.
Dutchman Joost Luiten has had a good start to the season with two top fives and three top 15s from five starts. His stats are also quite good for this time of year, driving accuracy of 61/1%, GIR of 74.7% and putts per round of 29.3. It’s about time he got another win under belt as he hasn’t won since the Wales Open in 2014. Looks good for this.
