CHILE failing to win and Alexis Sanchez not scoring downed both Thursday's tips as they were held 1-1 at home to Colombia.
Highlight of Friday night is the Euro 2016 play-off between Bosnia and Ireland and I've posted a full preview.
Elsewhere it's about international friendlies which I hate – what's the point of them?
England travel to Spain with Jamie Vardy the latest to drop out although the Leicester striker and Wayne Rooney could play against France on Tuesday.
That leaves Harry Kane as the only available striker for Roy Hodgson who says his line-up will be experimental. England haven't lost in 15 matches over 17 months but this is a tough test.
Spain will be without David Silva, Isco and Sergio Ramos and the likes of Celta Vigo's Nolito, Manchester United's Juan Mata and Chelsea's Diego Costa could all start. The Spanish are rightly 4-5 favourites but I don't know if I want to back anything on the WDW.
Key team news for Wales v Holland is the fact Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey are missing. Holland are also missing – from Euro 2016 – and it will be tough for their hurting stars to lift themselves for this one. Could be dull and low scoring.
Arjen Robben's return is a boost and some will back the Dutch at 21-20 with Skybet simply because Wales without Bale is like a bird without wings.
The world's best team – that's Belgium in case you missed the latest world rankings update – will try to live up to their billing at home to Italy. They are 11-10 with William Hill and could be worth taking as Italian boss Antonio Conte is also experimenting – check out line-ups before having a punt.
Euro 2016 France are 7-5 with William Hill and Paddy Power against world champions Germany who are without the likes of Marco Reus, Mario Gotze and Mesut Ozil. Without troubles Karim Benzema the French may look to Antoine Griezmann for goals. France have won their last four friendlies and I don't see them losing against weakened rivals.
Looks like Northern Ireland are putting out a strong team and if they do should beat Latvia in Belfast. They are a best 7-10 with the likes of Paddy Power and Betfred. Kyle Lafferty scores the bulk of their goals and he is 6-4 at William Hill and bet365 to net again.
While I can see both scoring in Alicante a game that should produce is Poland v Iceland. The Poles have named a full squad including Robert Lewandowski, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Łukasz Piszczek and Jakub Błaszczykowski with Arkadiusz Milik the only key absentee.
Fellow Euro qualifiers Iceland have Gylfi Sigurdsson, Aron Gunnarsson, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson and Ragnar Sigurdsson on board and this should be a positive game with neither side having anything to prove. We saw how porous the Polish defence can be at times but they will always be confident of outscoring opponents.
There are also African World Cup qualifiers including Niger v Cameroon, Liberia v Ivory Coast and Swaziland v Nigeria. I don't have time to research them as it's deadline day for my Daily Record columns and I'm on the sports desk tonight but any tips or insight will be welcomed.
Having thought about it long and hard here are today's tips – but please consider making this a no-bet day. I did but I'm not afraid to lose a couple of points as I know there are better cards around the corner and I'm confident of making a profit on Saturday weather permitting.

I found something I like for tomorrow:
Wales U21 over 1.5 team goals
Melbourne City v WSW over 1.5 match goals
Double @ 2.03 with 888
Wales play bottom team Armenia. Wales scored 6 goals in their first 2 games and had a 0-0 in Denmark in the third game. Armenia conceded 10 in 4 games, with 6 of them coming in their last 2.
Melbourne’s 5 games this season saw 22 goals, WSW 5 games saw 11 goals. Games between these two had quite some goals in the past.
I also have some on the usual suspects to score anytime:
Dzeko & Ibrahimovic
Double @ 6.50
On the double Mr O – let’s hope for some early value.com to set us up for the weekend…
Well done sir – nice win…

A league corners double
Wellington Pheonix vs Adelaide United, over 0.5 corners in first 10 mins
Melbourn City vs Western City Wanderers, over 0.5 corners in first 10 mins
11/8 BET365
Everytime I’ve watched A league matches since last month the teams seem to fly out of the blocks and attack resulting in a lot of early corners. Gonna give the above bet a go.
Sorry, the second selection should read :
Melbourn City vs Western Sydney Wanderers, over 0.5 corners in first 10 mins
andorra vs st.kitts & nevis
pick: st.kitts & nevis AH 0 @1.92
levels odds here are crazy in my view, andorra have not won in last 78 international matches drawing just 5 of them…
caribbeans are not world beaters but still a decent side with some players kicking in leicester, walsall, rochdale, woking, dallas etc.
andorra is a joke team, pure amateurs

Probably could have covered the Chile goals but might have been a bit too late considering it was late in the first half. Wasn’t up to see. Rotten luck to start the month. Worst numbers I’ve provided on the football since giving my totals but I’ll take the first losing month since January (not that its over yet). Just waiting for all the domestic leagues to start up again (21st if I’m correct). 20 point monthly bank gone for football so showing some discipline. Well done to those on a good run. Still posting on the Other Sports for anybody interested.

angola looks more as a home winner to me mircea mate, they are extremely powerful in luanda
What can i say – in the last 10 meeting Bafana Bafana only lost once to Angola, they will field a strong side and i think even they can win this but i’ll try a Draw wich will give them first chance to qualify in second leg.

For everyone waiting on the Chinese corners, bet 365 have voided the market. I mistakenly put 2x£30 on chile to win last nite and I emailed them an hour and a half before kick off asking for 1 of them to be voided and I still havnt had a reply. Has anyone had to do this before and if so what was the outcome?
Sean Campbell, I’ll probably have an email when I get to the office.
It’s a strange one but bottom line is they rely on someone at the game to provide corner stats and if lets them down all they can do is void unless there is proof of corners total somewhere – like a video of the game.

Craneguy I have the same btts@win as you also added tampine for the Trixie also have btts treble on same games very confidant gl mate.
People claim wales aren’t a two man team, i think they are. Holland will be hurting after not qualifying plus might be a couple of players given a chance holland at a shade over evens a good bet imo
I wouldn’t advice to back Holland tonight. We have Robben back, but the rest of the team is just not good enough. Danny Blind has finally worked out (a bit late) that the team needs some extra men in defence. We are going back to 5-3-2, so I can’t see many goals tonight.
I am waiting for the odds for Germany scoring 2 or 3 against us on Tuesday. Germany are always up for it and will rip us apart.
Mr Orange, when you look at the two teams on paper Holland should win easily but I’m with you – I can’t back them even against a Wales side without Bale and Ramsey.
skyblueliam, you could argue Wales are a one-man team – after Bale scored 7 of their 11 goals in qualifying.
I don’t think I could ever back them without him in the side but how do we out faith in Holland?

Morning gents – I’ll sound like a broken record but I absolutely hate internationals breaks! 2 weeks of rubbish betting cards all to allow Luxumborg to play Greece, haha
I’ve looked through today’s card in detail, it’s grim !
Best bet of today for me is . . . NO BET
Save your hard earned cash for tomorrows’s matches – I’ll be looking at tomorrow’s card with a view of posting my selections later today!
Greg Browning, absolutely the correct decision.
I’d go the same way but someone has to be up a tip or everyone here would go searching for top recipes or something else.
I’ve a lovely recipe for a lemon drizzle cake if anyone is interested… :) I agree chaps, awful cards over international breaks, hate them. Going steady on the footy for a while – having a few bets on the american sports with some excellent guys on the other sports thread, and also some on the darts. Is Lockup now with another site Mr F?
Jacksonator, lockup still with us as far as I know – I think he was busy with something this week.
I will try and gather some information on Poland iceland friendly later on if anyone is looking atvthis game. I’ll check Polish media and team news and check who’s playing. Poland are a little short but Lewandowski Anytime is around 8/11 which is a but short depending on what type of game it is. Iceland may be offensive or defensive.
Sanjay, there is some Poland-Iceland team news in my main article.
Going to jump on the over 1.5 goals on the Melbourne game now. Watching the first half I’m surprise no goals have gone in..
Over 1.5 goals – evens..
I hope you had a song on that bet LF..
Lol I put £100 on that bet simpledxb.. Would have ended up calling off sick at work if they failed to score 2 haha..
energetik mingechevir v mil mugan
+2,+2.5 asian for home side.
rock bottom and everyones whipping boys at first glance but the away team aint great either only 6 goals scored and 8 conceeded in 9 games. i cant see a high scoring game here at all. energetik have only scored 4 themselves.
think will be a close shave for the mingechevir today
pays evens
looks like this game possibly been postponed
France U21’s let me down yesterday. Having scored their first in the 82nd minute after a one sided game against the N Irish, they hit the post in the 88th minute to screw over my 1.5tgs NAP. I did land my NB of +3.5 Portugal U21 tgls and also landed a 19/20 side bet of Portugal U21’s -2 on the handicap. I also did an in-play bet of Portugal -3 and Spain -3 when both were leading 2-0 which came in at 3/1 (unfortunately didn’t have time to put up tip).
Morning Tip:
Albirex Niigata FC vs Tampines Rovers (KO 1130) – BTTS
Madagascar vs Senegal (KO 1130) – BTTS
Comoros vs Ghana (KO 1200) – Ghana Win to 0
Small stakes treble @ 7/2
For the U21’s matches, I am going to stick with the team goals due to difficulty in team news and I like the look of Ireland, Germany, Austria & Wales +1.5tgls which should pay around 4/1.
I will wait out for the team news before putting up proper tips for the big boys games tonight, but early on I like the look of N Ireland, Poland, Spain, Netherlands and Germany in an WIN ACCA and over 1.5 mgls.
i got on over 1.5 goals at 40 mins mark, obviously going to be goals. Feel for Melbourne with the second goal but my bet comes first ;)
Yeah that goal was harsh but hey we come first!!!?? haha
Melbourne vs was..Over 1.5 goals evens – WON* ?
Cheers mr orange for posting the stats earlier in the thread . Just couldn’t see it ending 0-0 ?

They should score at least 5 goals , Austria gave them 7.
Cheers !!!
Radu, it’s some team – nice one.
Yunis mali is some player
Hey lads does anyone know if thepuntersman still hangs out on this site?????
shaun sullivan, I don’t think I’ve seen him on but there hasn’t been a card big enough for his type of bets.
We might see him tomorrow but even then it’s a restricted card.
Thanks Gregg, was thinking the same! International week is always the worst, especially when its friendlies! ggrrrrrr!
Madagascar have taken a 1-0 lead against Senegal. Fancy a couple of goals in the second half so jumped on the +2.5 mgls in play.
Madagascar now 2-0 up. A goal for Senegal would do nicely for the BTTS and also the +2.5 mgls
And there is the Senegal goal. I hope people jumped on the +2.5 mgls in play!
Afternoon all
My first ever post after many months of following the site. Loving the new look of the page, some awesome tips and cracking guys on here. As said by many a tough card today. Sticking with a safe looking u21’s goals treble.
Rep of Irelad u21’s – over 1.5 tgls
Austria u21’s – over 1.5 tgls
Germany u21’s – over 3.5 tgls

Tom Whale, welcome. Good luck with the treble.
Surely the Madagascan’s must hold some record for the longest surnames of an International Football team. It must cost a bomb to get the names on the back of their shirts! Randrinomenjanahary, Andriamatsinoro, Andrianantenaina and Rakotoharimalala just a few examples!
Bet 27: Znojmo and Both Teams to Score @ 11/4 (0.25 units)
Bet 28: Znojmo v Kaucuk Opava, Over 2.5 goals @ 20/21 (0.5 units)
———————————
Chile’s failure to grab a winner last night after being pegged back to 1:1 brought down both bets last night but I thought Colombia were worthy of their point. That brings the goals run to an end and my 3rd wipeout of the month. Today I really don’t fancy any of the Internationals at all so taking a bet from the Czech second tier. Znojmo were relegated from the top league in 2014 and were well off the pace last season but this season lead the pack and on course for a return to top flight football. With 6 wins and a draw at home from 7 they should win today against Opava who have yet to record a victory on the road. It should be a straight forward home win but I feel Opava can get a goal.

Hi All,
Japan League 2 tomorrow morning last two games of the season Omiya Ardija and Jubilo Iwata are both sitting on 80 and 78 points respectively and are playing must win games and there is a chance for goals and Avispa Fukuoka can still tople Jubilo Iwata and Omiya Ardija if they both don,t win their two remaining matches.JEF United Chiba,V-Varen Nagasaki and Tokyo Verdy are on level point and are wrestling for the same spot on the play offs with two games remaining and all these teams on level points.
Afternoon gents, here’s my fancy for this evening.
Znojmo v Opava (Czech 2nd Division)
This is 1st v 7th with the hosts winning 9 from 13 this season while losing only once. At home, Znojmo have won 6 and drawn 1 of their 7 games so far while away from home, Opava have drawn 4, lost 2 and haven’t won yet. In 6 previous meetings between the teams, Znojmo have won 3 while the other 3 ended up as draws. In their 7 home games so far this season, Znojmo have netted 20 times and have scored 2+ in the last 6. Add all this to the fact that Opava have conceded 2+ in their last 4 away matches, one bet stands out here.
MY TIP: ZNOJMO (OVER 1.5 TEAM GOALS) – 4/5 @ BET365
Albirex Niigata FC vs Tampines Rovers (KO 1130) – BTTS – LOST
Madagascar vs Senegal (KO 1130) – BTTS – WON
Comoros vs Ghana (KO 1200) – Ghana Win to 0 – LOST
Small stakes treble @ 7/2
Madagascar vs Senegal over +2.5 mgls in-play @ 3/1 – WON
Although the treble didn’t come in (missed out by one goal in two losing matches) the in-play +2.5gls still put me in profit with 3/1 odds so not a bad start to the day.
I have placed a small stakes double on the following to keep it interesting until the matches a bit later on:
Kenya vs Cape Verde (in-play) – DRAW (Kenya currently lead 1-0)
Angola vs South Africa – DRAW
Good luck everyone.
Wales u21 over 2.5 tgs

After checking Azerbaijan U21 results, it appears as if most of their goals are conceded late in games either due to red card or sheer lack of fitness. Against Austria 5 of the 7 goals were scored in the last 30 mins. Two of which were scored 89 and 90+5. Maybe Germany Highest Scoring Half – 2nd at around 11/10 could be a good shout.
Have read an article with the coach advising that he wants to play fast attacking football from the off, which makes me think Germany will want to get off to a flyer.
The only thing putting me off is the fact Azerbaijan held out until the stroke of HT in their 7-0 loss, falling apart completely in the second half.
Right I’ll be placing smaller stakes for the earlier goals and if they come in I’ll probably refrain from betting any further. If they don’t then I’ll be doubling the stakes for later goals. I reckon Germany will put at least four or five past them and if they get the goals early enough they may take it easier second half. If not they’ll step it up.

For those of you guys having a bash at my betting challenge, I know there’s lots of friendlies tonight and a few more meaningful games but I do still see a bit of meat on the bone for matches with goals due to qualified teams throwing on new faces and experimenting with formations etc.
matches or teams that I think have a goal in them are bosnia, Holland, northern Ireland, Poland and possibly france and spain.
Just pick a couple in-play and chalk off the day and wait for tomorrows card.
Germany dont have there strongest side out ( German u21 )
Not sure if anybody’s already pointed this one out but my only bet today will be on this

N. Ireland (v Latvia) 7/10
Poland (v Iceland) 7/10
Fourfold pays 9/1
Spain v England draw @ 5/2
under 2.5 @ 8/13 both odds skybet, may get better elsewhere.
Spain havent conceded last 5 and England last 4,its a friendly so i cant see either side busting a gut to prove a point and players wont be giving 100% as avoiding injury will be their priority tonight.5/6 spain friendlies ended under 2.5 and same with 4/5 for England last 2 of which ended in a draw.
Most recent meeting ended 1-0 to England at home back in 2011 when both sides spent more time making subs rather than attacking,i see tonight following a simillar line and the draw makes most appeal.
Agree with Mr F with his N.Ireland to win tip but will be avoiding his SS on Bosnia, the Irish have a habbit of performing best when underdogs, could be a case of an angry Scot seeking revenge but dont tell him i said that ;) GOOD LUCK.

Every game I mentioned being on my radar tonight for a goal delivered at least one, including my 2x maybe’s. In a night of football – friendlies that I really don’t like, there was enough meat on the bone for those guys following my betting strategy to move your own bank builder onto the next day with a little gain.
For those guys yet to take the plunge and me a fully fledged member, my strategy is there in the :
Your Bets & Betting Challenges : tab available to members. Its very detailed and helps you to avoid the same mistakes that I have made over this past few years. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I learn by my mistakes and use this to my advantage. If anyone wishes to follow it, then feel free to join the Bank builder thread I wrote and read. I’ll gladly share any help/tips/guidance to help you stay on track too. Looking forward to some normal football with lots of domestic action + a few south American leagues spring into action around 8pm so I could have 2x sessions worth of bets. I might do 1, I might spread across the 2, I might have a bash at both markets as they’re 3-4 hrs apart and will give time for research in both.
1 more from me to make it 2/2 for the day. Gone against my own advice of no more bets today but ahh well.

Brazil games at 11, fancy ABC and Oeste home wins and Paysandu game for BTTS.
Treble is just under 4/1 ish?
Two Overnight Singles
Brazil – Serie B KO 11pm
Oeste v Criciuma
Oeste left it late to score against Santa Cruz to make me and a few others very happy waking up on Wednesday. Thanks to Hull, Chrisemy and Anthony for such positive comments – much appreciated! Happy to befriend any and all of you – if I ever work out how to do that…!! More than can be said for that St J guy. Browning… 30th Jan… You’re going down! Happy to befriend meantime, though… ;-)
I’m on Oeste again tonight. Their willingness to keep going at 3-0 down away from home to score in the 87th minute suggests they have a bit of fight and pride, but, more than that, when they’re actually at home, they’re not a bad side, and recent form shows they’re probably better than their current league position – 15th of 20.
5 match home form is P5 W3 D1 L1 F6 A3. That run has included wins against 4th, 9th and 20th best away. Defeat was to 7th best away Bahia.
Criciuma are 16th best away over the season.
On 5 match form, Criciuma are even worse – 17th. P5 W0 D1 L4 F1 A7. The defeats recently have come to home teams top, 2nd, 4th and 7th. No disgrace in losing to these, but only one goal scored against six conceded is hardly pulling up trees, while the draw came at 15th best Atletico GO.
Oeste are 14th best home over the season, but improving.
Oeste are showing decent current form. I fancy the home at 10/11.
I’ll have 3 units on that!
. . .
Japan – J-League Division 2 KO 3am
Avispa Fukuoka v Ehime
(Gotta be fairly careful with spelling that home team there…) :-)
This is a match between two in-form teams – Avispa are on the back of 6 straight wins while Ehime come into this having won their last 3. The crucial difference, though, is, Avispa have been putting in the hard yards both home and away while Ehime’s good work has mainly been in front of their own fans.
Compare 5 match home form of Avispa with 5 match away form of Ehime in this 22 team league.
Avispa Home P5 W4 D1 L0 F11 A3 (1st)
Ehime Away P5 W1 D1 L3 F4 A6 (17th)
Avispa’s recent wins have been over 8th, 22nd, 15th and 12th best away teams for the season. The draw was at 5th best away Verdy. Ehime are 14th best away for the season.
Ehime’s defeats have been to 6th, 8th and 17th best home sides for the season. They drew with 4th best home and beat 19th. Avispa are second top home side in the league for the season.
Avispa also have to win to keep up their automatic promotion push, whilst Ehime can’t get an automatic place and only need a point in two games to be sure of the play-offs.
The home win is available at a shade of odds against and again looks worth the 3 units I’ve put on.
. . .
Good luck overnight, everybody!
well if you say so hull, yel no be far rang ye never are on the SA gems tbh, brazil and argentina are the ones I usually don’t bother with unless its the big teams, mite do it no looked at odds yet though, leffe’s boggin a southern softies drink………. :D nice ice cool tin of red stripe is ma tipple gallus…………… ;)

Hi guys …. went for this in Up & coming Brazil games in a “High odds” “small stake” treble. ..
Abc & yes 12/5
Oeste & yes 4/1
Paysandu & under 2.5 gls 10/30
£5 = £346.66
Gd luck if you follow any or all of these selections. ?
CraneStripe…agreed , Brasil/Argentina are my least favoured SA leagues and that’s where the general SA money usually goes as folk look at the national teams and assume a ‘safer’ option must be within those countries.
To be fair I’ve gone for two games in those leagues tonight but as a rule I would certainly prod people to familiarise themselves with the Paraguayan/Peruvian/Mexican/Costa Rican leagues as opposed to those mentioned above.
Anyway, Crane – Red Stripe… I always had a great image of a sunny Jamaicain beach party with lots of tanned folk patrying with a Red Stripe…now I’ve an image of a you staggering to the bookies on a bleak night of sleeting rain in Paisley.
Thanks for shattering that dream…good luck tonight mate!

Night Owl:
This one seems to have slipped through the net amongst bigger games but would be rude to ignore.
UNITED STATES VS. ST. VINCENT / GRENADINES – 12.00 KO:
St V’s games have seen 2, 2, 3 ,4, 8 goals per last 4 against some pretty obscure opposition.
USA games- 1,5,5,3,2 goals…the kicker being against Costta Rica, Brasil, Peru, Mexico and Panama.
I’ll be taking the following:
Over 4.5 goals…4/5…NAP
Over 2.5 1st half goals…6/4.
Longshot…over 6.5 goals…10/3
Hull I’ve taken the Fylde/Brazil to score along with a couple of daft bets on Brazil TSBH, USA ts 5+ & Fylde ts 4+ and Neymar hat-trick/3-1 USA HT score pennies bet . Brazil should score
cover on ma Brazilian 11pms abc no 3rd goal 5/2 took it ye never know……………… ;)
fekn ragin usa game not on in play on wh, that’s the acc am usin for ip’s this month and i wont deviate due to my own betting rules bassa………………
Alright there Alves – good luck mate…had a few corner ventures this week and paid well – to be honest it’s not my skill-set but I see the appeal and how well you do.
I do think there’s a gap in the market for corner followers like yourself and goal-mungers like me and others to cross-ref intel and thrash out which games will have a better likelyhood of attacking sides actually scoring goals versus ‘stifled’ attack (=corners) games.
Good luck with the Flyde game tommorow pal.

UNITED STATES VS. ST. VINCENT / GRENADINES:
Over 2.5 first half goals…6/4 *WON*
Cover on the 4.5 goals NAP is there at a lovely 14/1 with 50 minutes to go.
Longshot (over 6.5 goals) cover is there at 6/4.
Cheers Hull but cashed out the 3-1 HT double for 6/1+, playing ££ tomorrow 40/1 they were for 3-1 at ht and if Neymar scores a 2nd half hat trick I’ll be getting a taxi tae the forth road to do a leap of faith haha. Just need a Brazil gl for now. Corners galore in Argies and Brazil games if you pick the right games but the risk i like taking is RT at big prices, obviously bigger risks but bigger rewards come wi that GL
Haha Alves…always good to take a fair set into the weekend.
