LAST season Queen of the South gave Rangers a few headaches but then again so do Hibs … and even Alloa.
They're a different side under Mark Warburton and his new recruits and the Ibrox side head to Dumfries today full of confidence and with their swagger back.
Last season Gers lost 2-0 and 3-0 on the Palmerston plastic but I reckon they'll avenge those defeats and I'm happy to back them even at a best 4-9 with the likes of Ladbrokes and William Hill.
Warburton's side have already gone to Alloa's artificial turf – where they also lost last season – and won 5-1 so there shouldn't be any fears about the playing surface. And in midweek they were 5-0 victors on Airdrie's 3G surface.
Queens like Gers have a 100 per cent league record but have struggles in the cups and lost 1-0 at home to Morton in midweek which was a shock.
Rangers are averaging over three goals a game and should win this covering the -1 handicap at 6-5 with William Hill while over 3.5 goals pays 13-8 at Betway.
Picking a first scorer isn't easy as the goals have been shared about but as long as bookies keep tempting me with James Tavernier to score I'll take it. This time BetVictor offer a best price of 19-5.
The rampaging full-back and deadball expert has almost scored as many goals in the last month as he has in his entire career. He has netted five in seven games including the last two.
Queens are capable of scoring but having lost the likes of Gavin Reilly to Hearts they haven't been as prolific and have netted just three in their last four matches.

Tavernier atgs is 6/1 with coral mr fix it
He’s 5/1 at Bet Victor now
I’d imagine QotS will be trying to stifle an attack-minded Rangers by putting 5 in the midfield and looking to counter-attack with speed.
Hibs did this with a degree of success, only conceding one fantastic free-kick but didn’t take the chances that came their way.
QotSth to score first goal at 11/4
Both teams to score 5/6
QOS – RANGERS= DRAW.

DerekMac, when I looked last night Coral were 3-1 online – 6-1 is a steal. If he scores.
