IT'S back to stroke play this week thankfully with the Tournament Players Championship at Sawgrass.
With 49 of the world’s top 50 taking part and 56 of the top 60 and quite a few players in top form (McIlroy, Spieth, Rose, etc) this looks like it could be a great tournament.
With three top-fives from his last four stroke-play starts Henrik Stenson is playing steady golf. In driving accuracy he is seventh with 72% and GIR 3rd with 72.78.
He’s number one in strokes gained: tee-to-green, putting and total, second in ball striking, the list goes on. His stats are really good and it’s about time he got back to winning ways.
Justin Rose had a great April with a superb T2 at the Masters and winning the Zurich Classic. He had a tough start to the season but looks back to his best. Rose tied fourth here last year and could go close again.
With driving accuracy due to play a big part this weekend Jim Furyk must have a good chance.
He is fourth in the Tour list with 73% accuracy and with his win at the RBC Heritage and fourth in the Cadillac Match Play confidence could be returning.
Although he was beaten 6&5 by McIlroy at the weekend Hideki Matsuyama is still a class act. He’s had seven top-10 finishes this season with a fifth place at The Masters. I have high hopes for him this year and with driving accuracy of 66% and GIR of 70% don’t be surprised if he is near the top at the end of the weekend.
Another player who had a good Masters and Cadillac Match Play is Paul Casey. With four top-10 finishes since the end of February he is having a superb season.
Becoming a father recently, not flying to and fro across the Atlantic to play on both tours and being injury free seems to have had a good effect on Casey and it's good to see him playing well again.

Z johnson 1pt ew
J furyk 2pt ew
L westwood 1ptew
H stenson 2ptew
but I am really afraid of Rory he showed some great battling last weekend but he is just to short of a price for me if he was 10/1 or better i would be with him. Do you think i should drop Westwood and Johnson and put their stakes on the nose for Rory?

Thanks for the reply and no disrespect to ace tips am doing a mixture of tips after I gather the information.
I’m with Casey top 20 finish 6/4 ladbrokes, great price as ace says he’s playing well, also doing small stake double with casey and raals nap, good luck all and enjoy the golf
jimba, I like the look of Stenson and will again go with Matsuyama in his first stroke play since The Masters. Well beaten by McIlroy in the last 16 last week but won his 3 group games so in good form.
Like the look of Furyk. Think Jimmy Walker offers value at 35/1. For those wanting a bigger price, Leishman, Tringale, De Jonge and Steele are all available at between 125/1 -150/1. May be worth small e.w. bets.
Thankfully back to stroke play golf this week but it ain’t easy this is the unofficial 5th major, I remember being a kid playing pga golf on Sega megadrive 20 years ago and could never master the 17th hole surrounded by water. The big guns are out this week think 49 of the top 50 ranked players are here and a case can be made for a dozen but will stick to my 2 favs and an Outsider
Rory mcilroy 7/1 – simple pick first won last week in match play and whilst he struggled early on on this course he posted 2 top 10 finishes here last 2 starts hopefully he getting the hang of it here
Dustin Johnson 35/1- am liking the new DJ and the way he is playing he is the biggest hitter off the tea and is type of player who could shoot 8 under or 8 over let’s hope it’s latter. Will be having fiver on him first round leader too.
Outsider this week for ew bet is billy horschel 66/1 he ain’t been great this season but played well in march play last week and he is a home town player and on a difficult course I like the look of someone who will know the course most than most
lee, Sega megadrive – you must be older than me. That’s a brilliant hole though.
Ha ha mr f I am 33 but spent my sat nights on that game long before I met alcohol and the other half who is unfortunately subjecting me to Bridget Jones as we speak give me the computer back anytime
lee, that’s tough – and you’re young enough to be me son unfortunately. Anyway I’m off – game of golf in the morning if it’s dry down at Helensburgh.
Tell me bout it enjoy the golf 2moro hopefully another winner for one of us
Rory splits with his girl and hey presto he’s on fire, now tiger splits with his girl and at 33/1 must be in with a chance 10pts ew top 6
Rory McIlroy to win @15/2 – Rory looked to be right back on form at times last weekend.
Hideki Matsuyama top 10 finish 7/2 – 7 top 10 finishes this year is good enough for me and hopefully this form continues
Both on with betvictor and think both will give me a run for my hard earned.
Gl all with whatever you do.
