LiverpoolvSpurs

MY only tip on Burnley-Spurs has been both to score and all the stats you need to know are on the goals thread.

It should be a cracker at Turf Moor between two teams who prefer to attack than defend.

Harry Kane should be confident after making his England debut and scoring and it would be churlish to ignore him to net at any time at 6-5 with bet365. To score first the prolific young hitman is 5-1 at Ladbrokes.

Spurs are 6-5 favourites at bet365 but Burnley will make it tough and if forced to have a bet on the outcome I'd consider a score draw at 18-5 with McBookie and BetVictor.

The other Premier League match sees Sunderland entertain Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby and while these games are never easy to call I'm on the home win mainly due to the team news.

Newcastle are wwithout defenders Massadio Haidara, Steven Taylor and Paul Dummett as well as midfielders Cheick Tiote and Siem de Jong. Another midfielder Mehdi Abeid has a chance but winger Rolando Aarons is also out and and defender Fabricio Coloccini and striker Papiss Cisse remain banned.

Sunderland, who miss Wes Brown, Will Buckley and Emanuele Giaccherini, are just one point above the drop zone and Dick Advocaat's side badly need a result.

Recent derby form is with Sunderland who have won the last four meetings and are unbeaten in six. However, they have won just two of their last 16 at home.

Former England international Adam Johnson is available again after a club ban and has netted in three of his last four appearances against Newcastle. He is 9-2 at Stan James to score but I might take Steven Fletcher who will be full of confidence after becoming the first Scotland player for 46 years to score a hat-trick in last weekend's Euro qualifier against Gibraltar.

Fletcher is 7-1 at BetVictor to score first and 27-10 at 888sport to net at any time.

Recommended Bets

Kane to score (1.30pm)
(6-5, bet365)

Sunderland (4pm)
(13-8, William Hill)

I hope your wrong about the Newcastle game Mr F. Like you say Sunderland have won the last 4, this is a must win game for Newcastle too because of that.I’m going to back Newcastle out of hope but have a feeling this one could be a draw.

I totally understand your reasoning for going with Sunderland though and wouldn’t be surprised if they do win. The way we are at the minute anyone could beat us smh.

Well you were right haha. Luckily I got in on Defoe next goal scorer at 15/2 ladbrokes. Felt we should of had a penalty in the first half though. Disapointed with the result/performance but can’t do nothing about goals like that
