CELTIC will tempt many at a best 5-6 with Betfred and others away to Aberdeen (12.30pm) but it could one of the champs' toughest tests of the season.

The Dons beat Celtic twice last season – 2-1 – and usually give them a decent game at Pittodrie. However, one stat against the home men is the fact they've beaten the Glasgow giants on a Sunday for 14 games – 12 defeats and two draws.

Aberdeen have bounced back to form with three wins to nil since losing 3-0 at Hamilton and Celtic' defence has also tightened up with three clean sheets before conceding to Astra in the Europa League last Thursday.

I've seen comments telling punters to stay away from Everton and Spurs after midweek Europa League matches but Celtic were the furthest travelled and from their base in Bucharest had a seven-hour round coach trip to play in Giorgiu.

Celtic's record this season after European away ties is won one, drawn one and lost one so Dons boss Derek McInnes will feel his side have a chance. Aberdeen are a biggest 7-2 at Coral and worth a look at 21-20 with them and bet365 not to lose.

The Hoops have netted in their last 25 matches versus Aberdeen and on their previous 21 visits to Pittodrie so both teams to score at 7-10 with McBookie should come in.

Six of the last seven meetings between the two sides have all produced over 2.5 goals and BetVictor and McBookie are offering top price of 31-40 for over 2.5 goals.

And what about a firs scorer. After four weeks of religiously backing John Guidetti I'm considering a change. Guidetti's been great for this site – four first-scorer tips in a row and four wins.

Last weekend I backed him at a best 15-4 and for £10 stakes on the Swede in every game this season you'd be £200 in profit. The run has to end – and there's every chance it could be at Aberdeen.

Guidetti will be fresher than most of his team-mates as he's ineligible for the group stage but need players around him to perform.

So while I'll back Guidetti at 21-20 with McBookie to net at anytime I'm taking a big chance on David Goodwillie,, who was on target in the 2-1 defeat at Parkhead earlier in the season to score first at 8-1 with boylesports. Half of Aberdeen's goals have been scored in the first 45 – a league high.

Goodwillie was rested for Monday's win at Ross County and is expected to return although the Dons not short on strikers.

Craig, by the law of averages he probably won’t score first but I know I’ll be tempted come tomorrow but I’ll do anytime as well.

Aberdeen to be leading anytime at 11/8 could be decent too, will wait and see the teams but taking wee man to cinema at 10 for a cheap film at cinema, £1 each to see how to train dragon 2 in Falkirk, alot better than the £9 i paid for a 3 yr old to see monsters university :)

5/6 looks great off the bat, however factor in the Thursday trip to Romania I expect celtic to be a bit jaded. Can’t say I expect Aberdeen to take full advantage of this as they’re not so great at the minute. Don’t think this will be pretty on the eye.

    So I’m under 2.5 goals

    ABERDEEN VS CELTIC TIPS

Whilst agreeing that Guidetti’s run has got to come to an end, I’m more inclined to back another Celtic player for first goalscorer. You could argue that this is a biased view as I’m a Celtic fan. Stevan Johansen scored two back to back goals against Astra in the Europa League and I’ll be on the Norwegian at 18/1 to score first. Secondly I’ll be backing Van Dijk to score anytime. He’s available at 15/2 with Spreadex Sports.

    Recommended Bets:

Stefan Johansen First Goalscorer @ 18/1
Van Dijk Anytime Goalscorer @ 15/2

    Good luck everyone.

Also, for anyone interested in backing Guidetti for first goal make sure you back him at William Hill either telephone or online betting. If he fails to score first but goes on to score the 2nd goal they will refund losing stakes up to £50 as a free bet. The same applies to the Man City game yesterday, I was given a refund as Aguero scored 2nd.

If you ended up backing that and Celtic win I bet you hit the bloody roof in the 90th!
