After delivering a winning Bet Builder on Thursday night, SlipsTips shares a player-based selection ahead of Crystal Palace’s clash with Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Crystal Palace vs Arsenal (Saturday, 17:30)
Fresh off the back of their midweek EFL Cup encounter, Crystal Palace and Arsenal square off again at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
I’ve already covered this capital clash in a separate match preview but I’ve since identified another selection that holds plenty of appeal.
Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell has been priced up at 4/5 on Betfair to commit a minimum of one foul during this all-London affair and that looks too big to ignore.
While the Eagles left wing-back is not a player who is renowned for overstepping the mark, there is plenty of scope for him to get on the wrong side of the referee at least once on Saturday evening.
Mitchell was guilty of one misdemeanour during Crystal Palace’s EFL Cup quarter-final tie against Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
That means Mitchell committed at least one offence in each of the Eagles’ four EFL Cup ties this year, racking up a combined total of seven fouls en-route to the last-eight.
Furthermore, the 25-year-old gave away a free-kick during Palace’s 3-1 win away at Brighton in the Premier League last Sunday.
A deeper dig shows that Mitchell has fallen foul of the match official on multiple occasions in Crystal Palace’s Premier League games with Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle over the last couple of months.
Typically deployed in a left wing-back role, Mitchell could find himself in direct battle with Arsenal foul magnet Bukayo Saka on Saturday evening.
The Gunners star is drawing a team-high average of 2.13 fouls per-game in the Premier League this season, earning his side a set-piece in all but one of his 15 top-flight outings this term to date.
It’s also worth pointing out that Saka has been fouled in each of his five appearances for Arsenal in this season’s Champions League.
Thus, with Mitchell and Saka bound to cross paths on Saturday evening, the Palace defender looks a great value option to commit at least one foul during this dust-up at 4/5 (Betfair).
