Tottenham will take on Man Utd in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on Thursday, 19 December with both clubs in high spirits following victories in the Premier League on Sunday.
Man Utd pulled off a stunning late comeback to defeat Man City in the Manchester Derby while Tottenham ran out as 5-0 winners in an impressive display against Southampton.
It means that there is plenty of excitement ahead of kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with a place in the semi-finals on the line.
How the bookies view it: A close match to call
Given that these teams and evenly matched and the fact that a penalty shootout is available, the bookies have sat on the fence for this one. BoyleSports have priced Tottenham as the narrow favourites at 6/5 while a win inside 90 minutes for Man Utd has been priced at 6/4. The draw, which would take us straight to penalties, has been priced at 11/4.
Recent head-to-head: Advantage Spurs
Ange Postecoglou has a brilliant record against Man Utd as Tottenham boss with the Australian yet to lose any of the three matches he has played against the Red Devils. Man Utd's general record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is pretty good, though, with two wins, two draws and one defeat in five visits to the state-of-the-art stadium.
Players to watch: Can Amad continue his brilliant form?
For many people, the form shown by Amad Diallo since Ruben Amorim took charge at Old Trafford is complete justification for the sacking of Erik Ten Hag. The Ivorian winger rarely got a look in under the club's former manager but has been the club's best player ever since he was dismissed at the end of October.
Amad was the best player once again on Sunday when United downed Man City at the Etihad Stadium. The 22-year-old won the penalty for the equaliser before scoring a brilliant goal shortly after thanks to a marvellous first touch and finish on the run.
While Amorim's rotation policy could see him sit this one out ahead of their Premier League clash with Bournemouth at the weekend, the temptation to keep playing Amad will be there considering his brilliant form in recent weeks. If he does play, then he should be the man that the Spurs defence pay the most attention to.
Predicted line-ups
Tottenham will be without several first-team players for this one. Notable absentees include Rodrigo Bentancur who is in the midst of his seven-game suspension and Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven who are both out with hamstring injuries.
It will be fascinating to see if Ruben Amroim recalls Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford to the matchday squad after both were left out completely against Man City. On the injury front, he is expected to be without Luke Shaw, Nous Mazraoui and Mason Mount.
Tottenham: Forster – Porro, Gray, Dragusin, Spence – Sarr, Bissouma – Kulusevski, Maddison, Son – Solanke
Man Utd: Onana – Yoro, Maguire, Lindelof – Dalot, Mainoo, Casemiro, Malacia – Amad, Fernandes – Zirkzee
Anything else catch the eye?

A total of 20 goals have been scored across the last six meetings between these clubs and over 3.5 goals to be scored on Thursday has been priced at 21/20 by BoyleSports.
