Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Spanish second tier, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Eldense will look to move out of the relegation zone in the Spanish Segunda this weekend as they welcome 14th-placed Albacete to the Estadio Municipal Nuevo Pepico Amat on Saturday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Dani Ponz’s hosts have scored 15 goals across their opening 13 fixtures in the Spanish second tier, with nine (60%) of them coming across their six home fixtures
The Azulgranas have found the back of the net in each of their opening six league outings in front of their supporters – notching on multiple occasions in three (50%) of them, including in each of their past two – and will look to continue their fine goal-scoring record at home against an Albacete defence that is without a clean sheet in each of their opening seven road trips, conceding 12 goals.
Alberto González’s visitors are the joint third-highest scorers in the Spanish second tier, slamming in 22 goals across their 14 matches, with 11 (50%) of them coming on their travels.
The Queso Mecanico have found the back of the net in all bar two of their league outings – notching on multiple occasions in six of their past nine – and will be confident of breaching an Eldense defence that has kept just two clean sheets in the league this season, with none of those coming in their previous nine.

Albacete’s opening seven fixtures away from home in the Spanish second tier this season have averaged an impressive 3.29 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in five (71%) of them – and given the same has landed in 4/6 (67%) of Eldense’s league outings on home soil – I’m happy to have a play on these two sides producing a minimum of three goals in Alicante on Saturday afternoon.
