SlipsTips shares two selections from Cove Rangers’ clash with Inverness in Scottish League One on Saturday.

Cove Rangers vs Inverness (Saturday, 15:00)

Looking to maintain their place at the top of Scottish League One, Cove Rangers will welcome Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Balmoral Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

After a sticky start to the season, four wins on the spin suddenly has Paul Hartley’s side shaping up for a tilt at the title in what is a congested third-tier table.

As for Inverness, they are anchored down in bottom place after being hit with a 15-point deduction due to their well-documented off-field troubles.

The Caley Jags started to reduce their arrears at the foot of the standings with a 1-1 draw at home to Kelty Hearts last Saturday but a trip to in-form Cove will be a completely different kettle of fish.

While Hartley’s high-flying hosts hold plenty of appeal at 8/5, I’m going to opt for a degree of insurance by instead taking the 10/11 (Betfair) in the Draw No Bet market.

Not only have Cove claimed top honours from each of their last four league games, but they have managed to do so without conceding a single goal.

Furthermore, the Aberdeen-based club have come away empty-handed from just one of their last eight Scottish League one assignments, triumphing in six of those contests.

In stark contrast, Inverness have won just two of their opening 12 league games of the season, neither of which were earned away from their Highland headquarters.

It’s also worth noting that Scott Kellacher’s side crashed to a 3-1 defeat on their travels at second from bottom Dumbarton a fortnight ago.

With all that in mind, current Scottish League One pacesetters Cove Rangers look well worth supporting at a shade below even-money in the Draw No Bet market when they entertain crisis club Caley.

Elsewhere, there is an attractive 29/20 (UniBet)  available for Cove Rangers to score two more goals on Saturday.

The Balmoral club made the net bulge three times away at Dumbarton last weekend, not to mention they notched exactly twice in each of their three victories prior to that against Alloa, Queen of the South and Montrose.

Recommended Bets

  • Cove Rangers Draw No Bet  – 10/11 (Betfair)
  • Over 1.5 Cove Rangers Goals – 29/20 (UniBet)
