After returning to winning ways in Germany on Sunday, Monday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Cypriot top flight, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Chris Coleman’s AEL will look to move up into fifth position in the Cypriot First Division as they travel to the Ammochostos Stadium to take on second-from-bottom Nea Salamis in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Nea Salamis have scored eight goals across their opening six matches in the Cypriot First Division this term, with three (38%) of them coming across their two home matches.
The Red and Whites have only failed to find the back of the net away at leaders Paphos – notching on multiple occasions in two (33%) of them – and will look to trouble an AEL defence that has kept just one clean sheet and conceded 10 goals across their opening five league outings.
Chris Coleman’s visitors have slammed in 12 goals across their opening five matches in the Cypriot top flight this season, with five (42%) of them coming across their opening two road trips.
The Limassol-based club have found the back of the net in each of their opening five league outings – notching on multiple occasions in two (40%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Nea Salamis defence that has shipped a minimum of two goals in each of their opening six league matches.

Nea Salamis’s opening six league matches in the Cypriot First Division have averaged a staggering 4.33 goals per game, with Over 3.5 Goals remarkably banking in all six (100%) of them, with five (83%) also seeing goals at both ends – and given Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals has clicked in 4/5 (80%) of AEL’s league outings – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three goals, with both of these sides contributing.
This selection has landed in five of the last six head-to-heads between these two sides – including a nine-goal thriller in the pair's most recent meeting back in April.
