Bill's Baar was 13/2 into 6/5 with 2 NRs, he finished one out of the places costing us 5.71pts. The NR had strong place claims too which is doubly unfortunate given we actually lost 0.14pts.

Attacanter Racing Tips

Executive Decision 5/1 four places – 15.50 Salisbury

I have taken too long to find four horses and 2 more points have been missed on this horse, it's still probably the strongest selection so I'll keep in at short enough price.

Snuggle was a big price place for us at this track a few weeks back, the trainer's apprentice son takes off 7lbs today, he could easily outrun a few non-triers at 14/1 but this contest does look deep enough.

The favourite NaRiko has been a NR for us twice now, I've included these prices before but I am going to chance Jamie Osborne's Executive Decision who ticks enough boxes to warrant inclusion.

A R4 would remove any value this horse has if it doesn't win outright, which is unlikely enough but the selection takes a drop in class with a decent display last time drawing encouragement.

Salisbury being an uphill track won't make things easy for us carrying near top weight but this is the first Class 4 the horse has seen since her last win in August 2023.

That was a Racing League contest when winning effectively rated 90, she's 3lbs lower today, the same mark as last time when a neck 2nd at Newmarket in a small Class 2, conditions are fine and we're entitled to place.

Secret Bid 12/1 four places – 18.10 Newcastle

As usual I am overlooking a good few I could easily make a case for, I am a fan of the Bright form whilst Tinkler's has a valuable 5lbs taken off. Both could be justified but I'll chance a riskier one from the Archie Watson yard.

Runners at these prices from the yard aren't always ready to win but he has enough of them go in, the profile could have read better but I am hoping the horse can get back on track or at least go close.

Secret Bid was a potentially promising 2yo, he won on his 2nd start and was quickly tucked away for reasons unbeknownst to me. He had one run as a 3yo this year before winning in May at Lingfield rated 1lb higher than today.

Although not seen over 6f too often, his 4th of 9 at Kempton in July looks a decent enough contest. I'd have wanted more assurances going into a contest such as but I am hoping his preference for 7f means he's able to outstay a few rivals and not that we're on a race or two too early.

Brandywine Falls 9/2 – 18.00 Chelmsford

It seems we'll be hoping for an across the card double for Mr D J Deer today – he owns two of my selections both in need of some what of a change in fortune.

This horse is by no means obvious to how I select a horse but he is at least a lightly raced 2yo in excellent hands. His 4th last time was his best run to date, he went off favourite under James Doyle who is elsewhere for the trainer.

I did want to chance the market leader Telford, it'd have been nice if the selection offered more value but again there is hope involved, these short prices have proved valuable so far with the added win chances, we have 31 days to attack this month and it'd be stupid to not mix it up.

Indemnity 4/1 – 16.20 Salisbury

I am throwing in this horse based on the success they've had over the years and the strong jockey booking. If you look at the form there isn't much reason to not take a chance on such a well respected trifecta.

This is another horse with a profile I wouldn't usually chance but I suspect the horse is capable at this level despite a clear lack of value. A bare Class 5 win off 2lbs higher doesn't overly inspire off a lot of weight in these conditions but it seems 50/50 whether we place which is a decent enough percentage in this game.

*Advised Bet – Eachway L15*

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.

      Seabiscuit,

The advised bet for Attacanters tips is an each way lucky 15 it says at the bottom of each article.

Attacanter likes to track all aspects of his selections e.g singles etc. just because the bet is advised as an each way L15, doesn’t mean to say people who follow him back a L15.
