Friday’s Football Tips: Luton Town out to continue Championship revival at Plymouth Argyle

Luton Town have been looking more like themselves in recent weeks and will be out to make it three EFL Championship wins in a row when they visit Plymouth Argyle tonight.

There was a hangover after Premier League relegation for Rob Edwards' men as they went five games without a win in all competitions at the start of this season.

But they've edged victories over Millwall and Sheffield Wendesday in their last two outings so head to Home Park on a high.

Wayne Rooney's start as Plymouth boss has been a mixed bag so far but his side did beat high-flying Sunderland in their last home game and a repeat of that performance could bank them another three points.

Five goals were scored in Plymouth's last home game and I've a feeling we'll see more action at both ends tonight. Over 2,5 strikes pays just 8/13 at Betano or this time but adding BTTS takes the price to 37/40 in a bet builder.

Luton received a boost last week when Alfie Doughty signed a new contract and his pinpoint deliveries often lead to goals. The 24-year-old is 6/5 with Bet365 to either score or assist tonight.

Plymouth stopper Kornel Szucs has been booked in his last two outings so it could pay to back him for another card at 10/3 with Bet365.

Tranmere Rovers vs Salford City top tips

There's one game in League Two tonight and it's a mid-table battle between Tranmere Rovers and Salford City.

These sides have both collected eight points from six games so it promises to be a tight game.

Betano price a Rovers win at 11/10 and that might be worth a punt as their home form has been good this term. They've only lost once in four games at Prenton Park and that defeat came in the EFL Trophy against Everton's Under-23s.

There were goals galore in last season's meetings as Salford won 4-3 at Prenton Park before Tranmere got their revenge with a 5-1 win in Salford.

So I'm surprised to see over 2.5 goals at a decent 37/40 with Betano, which can be boosted to 59/50 by adding BTTS.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bochum top betting tips

Borussia Dortmund were spanked 5-1 by Stuttgart last weekend so it will be interesting to see how they respond when Bochum come calling in the Bundesliga tonight.

That heavy defeat was a major shock as last season's Champions League finalists had started the season well, with four wins and a draw.

I'm expecting them to hit back tonight against a Bochum side who have lost four and drawn one of their first five games. Combining the home win with over 3.5 goals pays 28/25 in a Betano bet builder.

The player markets offer better value and Donyell Malen looks good at 7/5 for anytime scorer if he starts.
