Strasbourg will look to return to winning ways in Ligue 1 when they face Angers at the Stade de la Meinau on Sunday afternoon.
Liam Rosenior’s side looked to be well on their way to victory at Lyon last time out but they threw away a 3-1 lead to lose 4-1.
As for Angers, they have had a baptism of fire upon their return to the top-flight, losing all three of their league games thus far.
Consequently, Strasbourg are general 4/6 favourites here, however we can back the home team to score two or more goals at 4/5 (Bet 365) and that looks like a worthy boots in price.
While Strasbourg will have been disappointed with their aforementioned capitulation at Lyon in their last league game, they did draw at Montpellier on matchday one before recording a 3-1 win over Rennes at home the following weekend.
As such, the Blue and Whites have racked up seven goals across their opening three French top-flight fixtures of the season, which doesn’t augur well for latest opponents Angers.
As already mentioned, Alexandre Dujeux’s side have lost each of their opening three games of the season, shipping a combined total of seven goals in the process.
Two of those goals were conceded in the Black and Whites’ last away game at Lille while they leaked four in their most recent assignment with Nice.
What was particularly alarming about Angers’ 4-1 loss to Nice was the fact their backline was breached twice after their opponents had received a red card.
So, with all that in mind, siding with Strasbourg to strike twice on Sunday makes plenty of sense at 4/5 with Bet 365.
