Getafe will take on Real Sociedad on Sunday, 1 September with the hosts still searching for their first win of the new La Liga season.
Getafe have started the current campaign with two back-to-back draws and will go hunting for their first three points of the campaign against a Real Sociedad side that has already tasted defeat twice this season.

Real Sociedad are a team that have finished inside the top six in La Liga in each of the last five seasons so they are expected to win here against Getage. Recent head-to-head: A mixed bag
Despite Real Sociedad routinely finishing higher than Getafe in La Liga in recent seasons, they haven't always had it their own way against them. Real Sociedad have won just two of the last six meetings between the two clubs and both of those came at home. Their last victory at the Coliseum Stadium came back in February 2021.

Players to watch: Can Zubimendi win the midfield battle?
Just a few weeks ago, it seemed like a formality that Real Sociedad hero, Martin Zubimendi, would be leaving the club to join Liverpool in the Premier League. However, a late U-turn means that the 25-year-old will be playing his football for Sociedad again this season which means they will at least have a foothold in midfield in most games.
Zubminendi will be going toe-to-toe with Getafe's Luis Milla in midfield in a tussle that could decide the outcome of the match. While Milla perhaps lacks the guile of Zubimendi, he will make life difficult for the Spanish international and he has started the season well himself, putting in a man-of-the-match performance in Getafe's most recent match against Rayo Vallecano.
It will also be interesting to see how Real Sociedad deal with the loss of Mikel Oyarzabal. The 27-year-old is typically their main route to goal but he was sent off last week so will miss this one due to suspension.

Getafe are expected to go in unchanged after two solid if unspectacular displays in La Liga so far. The situation is more complicated for Real Sociedad due to the suspension of Oyarazabal and injuries to Arsen Zakharyan and Alvaro Odriozola.
