Attacanter Racing has selected his four best each-way selections for Saturday's Lucky 15 bet.
Attacanter Racing heads to Ripon and Newbury for Saturday racing, and he's spotted some nice value in his selections, including a 20/1 shot from Ripon in the shape of Almarada Prince.
Attacanter Racing tips
Glendown 11/1 each way 5 places – 14.45 Ripon
My selection winning over 5f last time isn't ideal given the bounce factor but he remains feasibly treated and more than capable. He made all here last July, a track known to suit front runners. A strong pace is very likely which may set it up for another but Glendown has shown his versatility and gets the nod for the trainer/jockey who were 2nd in this last year.
United Approach 7/1 each way 4 places – 15.00 Newbury
James Tate doesn't have many runners but is a well-respected trainer. His horse in this is relatively lightly raced but has shown enough to convince me he can get involved off this mark. Having won two of his 3 starts, his 2nd last time on his first try over 7f was pleasing enough. Silver Samurai 12/1 who was narrowly overlooked.
Almarada Prince 20/1 each way 5 places – 15.20 Ripon
Almarada Prince beat 15 other runners when behind James's Delight at York, the two in behind both won this week (Elmonjed and Media Shooter). We aren't weighted to overturn the form with the favourite Dare to Hope, but our price offers enough value given the openness of the race.
Little Ted 8/1 each way 4 places – 16.24 Ripon
Little Ted won this race a year ago rated 59, he's been running well of late and I couldn't overlook him at the prices given he is effectively running off 10lbs lower today. His trainer has had at least one winner on this card for each of the previous 3 seasons and looks to have as good a chance as any outside of the top two in the market.
WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
United Approach now a non runner.
