Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Champions League qualifiers and I’ve come up with a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Reigning Greek champions PAOK welcome record Swedish champions Malmö to the Toumba tomorrow evening in the second leg of their Champions League third-round qualifier in a fixture that I expect to see goals in once again.
After claiming just their fourth-ever Greek Super League crown last term, PAOK entered the second qualifying round and sealed qualification to the next round following a 4-2 aggregate success over Bosnian side Borac Banja Luka.
Răzvan Lucescu’s men travelled to Sweden last week in the first leg of their third qualifying round – and despite falling behind on two occasions – travelled back to Thessaloniki having secured a 2-2 draw.
The Double-headed Eagle of the North doesn’t begin their defence of their Greek Super League until this Saturday when they play host to Panserraikos.
Prior to that entertaining 2-2 draw last week, Malmö had to see off Faroese champions KÍ in the previous draw – and despite losing 3-2 in the legend leg in Klasvik – went through 6-4 on aggregate.
Domestically, Henrik Rydström’s side sits six points clear of nearest challengers Djurgården, although Di blåe have played a game more.

Goals were a feature in the previous round for the Swedish giants, as they saw off Faroese side KÍ 6-4 on aggregate, whilst PAOK defeated Borac Banja Luka 4-2 over two legs, winning the home leg 3-2.
Overall, Malmö’s opening 11 matches away from home in league and Europe this campaign have averaged 3.82 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in nine (82%) of them – and given the same has landed in seven of PAOK’s last eight European contests on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on these two sides producing a minimum of three goals in what is hopefully another entertaining encounter between these two.
