QUEEN OF THE SOUTH hugely underachieved last season and could even have lost their League One status.
But they look a different proposition under new manager Peter Murphy and can see off Cove Rangers at 10/11 with McBookie.com.
The Dumfries outfit should really be in the Championship for the size of the club, but had a nightmare campaign under Marvin Bartley who was dismissed.
They poached Murphy from local rivals Annan Athletic, where he pulled up trees and he has already got some shrewd signings in the building like Reece Lyon and Kai Kennedy.
You would expect them to be challenging for the title and they should be putting teams like Cove away.
The Aberdeen outfit have brought in a couple of loanees from the Pittodrie side but have lost four of the five games they have played this season in the League Cup and at home to Annan in last week's opener.
They will also be without main man Mitch Megginson after the striker was sent off and the Doonhamers can deliver.

FALKIRK look a solid bet at McBookie.com's price of evens for their grudge match at Dunfermline.
As stated last week, these are troubled times for the Pars who have struggled to recruit any players with manager James McPake unable to avoid voicing his displeasure at the state of affairs.
They have had a nightmare start to the season after four defeats in a row.
Worryingly, their two games at East End Park saw them lose to Forfar Athletic and Cove Rangers and they also have injury concerns with a thin squad as it is.
Falkirk will go into this backed by a huge support and got their Championship season off to a fine start last week with a win against Queen's Park.
They did of course got the whole of last season unbeaten in League One and you have to go back to April 2023 for the last time they lost an actual league match.
The Bairns have been backed all week and it's not hard to work out why.

MORTON should get the job done at 23/20 with McBookie.com against Hamilton Accies at Cappielow.
Ex-Accoes hero Imrie's Ton didn't have the best of League Cup group stages, but they were good value for a point last week at Partick Thistle against one of the favourites for the title.
They now have former Aberdeen and Livingston striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas up front and he could get some joy against an Accies side minus some key defenders and influential Scott Martin.
