It's another busy day of racing with the Galway Festival entering it's third day and day two of the Glorious Goodwood meeting.

As usual, let us know who you fancy for today's racing in the commets.

French Duke 4/1 – Goodwood 1.50

I'm finding myself tipping up another runner from the Watham Racing team, surely they get one during Glorious Goodwood??

Anyway, although French Duke is yet to win a race, I've been impressed with how this youngster has gone about his business so far. He's only had four runs for Roger Varian but his recent outing on handicap debut at Royal Ascot was a cracking effort. He was attempting 1m4 for the first time in the King George V Stakes and finishing sixth was a respectable effort given he failed to settle throughout that contest. He runs off the same mark in this race, and if able to settle better throughout, then he surely comes here with a massive chance.

Red Pixie 11/10 – Redcar 3.50

For my last Lucky 15 tip, I will be revisiting an old winning selection from the main thread in Red Pixie, who comes to Redcar as a strong fancied favourite to get the job done for Sir Michael Stoute.

I've tipped up Red Pixie twice on the main thread. I tipped her up at Windsor at the start of June where she could only manage second on that occasion. She was then sent handicapping of a mark of 79, which saw her win recently at Carlisle under jockey William Buick. The step back up to 7f from 6f looked like the correct move by connections and being a nice sort from a Juddmonte family, she's expected to improve further past this sort of level.

Miss Information 10/3 – Goodwood 5.20

I put up Miss Information in a preview Lucky 15 thread and I'm not going to desert her just yet.

Andrew Balding's 3-year-old filly of Blue Point has suddenly started to progress and progress at a rapid rate. She was an easy winner at Epsom last time out off a 12lb lower mark, and it wasn't a surprise given she was officially running off the same rating as her previous win, but in reality, she was 7lb worse off as Oisin took over the from the claimer. She is pitched into a much tougher race off a much higher mark, so this is the real acid test for Miss Information, and she hasn't been given a great draw, being put in Stall 19. It's going to be tough coming from one of the widest stalls to win at Goodwood, but she did win at Epsom from stall 10/10, so she has the experience of coming from wide to win, and given the similarities of Epsom and Goodwood, I think she can run a huge race and prove to be ahead of the handicapper.

In Excelsis Deo 7/1  – Galway 7.10

We had a UK raider win at the Galway festival on the Lucky 15 thread yesterday, and I'm going for another with In Excelsis Deo in the Galway Plate.

Harry Fry does like to send a few runners to Ireland every season, so it's not a huge shock to see him send over In Excelsis Deo for the plate. Harry's record when sending horses over to Ireland is normally pretty good, mainly at Punchestown where he is 6/27, and lesser at Galway where he is 0/5 but has had three horses in the top four. His horse still looks to be progressing, and the ground seems to have come good at the right time for him as he relished the good ground at Cheltenham in April when recording a career-best in a Grade 2 contest, winning by 4.75L. He is running off a 5lbs higher mark for today's race, but he had a progressive campaign last year and ended on a high, and looks like there's more to come. Johnny Burke makes the trip over.

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
