THE world's richest game takes place on Saturday with Derby facing QPR for the right to play in the Premier League next season.
As much as £120million is said to be at stake so it's not a game for the fainthearted.
Derby would be popular winners of the Championship play-off final today after thrilling punters all season with their gung-ho style of play.
Steve McClaren’s side were convincing winners against Brighton in the semis while QPR needed extra time to edge past Wigan. Harry Redknapp’s men, famously paid more than the Atletico Madrid squad that will grace the Champions League Final hours later, aren’t as kind on the eye but a little more nous about them with all but Charlie Austin having experience of the top flight.
QPR also possess a serious goal threat in the shape of Austin and to triumph Derby will need to keep him quiet.
It’s the richest game in the world and at the end of it I reckon McClaren will be laughing all the way to the bank of the Premier League.
According to easyodds.com the side finishing third in the table have been promoted most times (9) since the play-offs were introduced in 1989.
County are 8-11 at McBookie and BetVictor to make it 10 while the side coming fourth has been promoted on the fewest occasions (4) – and that could be bad news for QPR who are 11-10 at McBookie and BetVictor.
To win in 90 minutes County are a best 11-8 with bet365 and QPR are 23-10 with the draw 9-4.
Scotland new boy Chris Martin has netted six times in his last seven games and is 7-4 at bet365 to net and 5-1 to break the deadlock.
Austin has scored five in five games since returning from injury and is 8-5 with bet365 to hit the target and 9-2 at Ladbrokes and bet365 to bang the opener.
But Derby have strength in depth and much-admired stars Will Hughes and Patrick Bamford aren’t even guaranteed starters.
Three of the last four finals have gone over 2.5 goals and this has the potential to do so. That pays 4-6 with Ladbrokes.

I will put QPR V Derby Draw go to extra time QPR Win
My concern Mr F is that QPR have more experience, most of there players have played in the premier league then there’s the redknapp factor
Stephen, I’ve mentioned that. I’d back the team you think will win – I don’t think anyone’s sure about this one.
Derby to win btts 4/1,harry rednapp couldn’t stimulate an ice cold nipple, good luck guys and Mr fixit been following you for a few mths now,its a fun site with nice inside info, looking forward to next season :)
Dan Childs tips QPR so now we are 100% sure, get on Derby!!
Think it will b a small Derby, Real dbl
ANYTIMER goal scorers for Value DERBY !! players and DERBY DEFENDERS !!
For me playing BUXTON 11/1 and FORSYTHE 12/1 derby
I see both being a threat for a goal and a bit of value and have made research in checking this against VALUE and these prices are too big considering….
qpr have a tendacy to give goals away by opposing defenders and have noted qpr last 15 matches and goals conceded .
In this time the last 3 months and the 15 matches and results it has seen 8 defenders have scored in 15 matches and out of 20 conceded there are 8 defenders who scored v qpr. Left backs and centre backs are strong and Forstye happens to be the best left back in the league and Buxon is the captain !! Get on it for value and the trends!!
Defenders scoring v QPR last 15 matches:
wigan- perch
milwall -malone
forest -Lascelles
blackburn -spurr
bournemouth -elphick
middlesboro -friend
sheff wed-buxton
brighton-ward
It clearly is an issue for qpr and can be exploited today !!
Buxton is a threat from set pieces-but apologies he is not captain as i stated
