IT’S been a strange season in England – Liverpool competed for the title and Arsenal have a chance of winning a trophy.
The Gunners haven’t tasted success since 2005 but consistent Champions League qualification has allowed Arsene Wenger to keep his job.
That’s all well and good but fans want silverware and they should be rewarded for their patience tonight with a win against Hull.
Last season’s Wembley final produced a massive shock with Wigan beating Man City but I can’t see a repeat. Arsenal are a best 2-7 at William Hill to lift the trophy and everything points to the favourites winning. They are in good form, finishing the season with five wins and have no injury problems.
They’ve beaten Hull twice this season – both to nil – and have come through tough ties against Spurs, Liverpool and Everton. And more importantly when the pressure was really on they got the job done against Wigan in the semi-final on penalties when not at their best.
Steve Bruce’s Hull are a biggest 16-5 at Betway to get the job done but they’ve struggled since reaching the Final with one against Sunderland although their safety was pretty much assured weeks ago.
It’s Hull’s first final but on the way the only top-flight team they beat was again Sunderland and in the Premier League they’ve won just two out of 20 against teams in the top half.
So it’s Arsenal for me and I’m taking them at 1-2 with bet365 and Paddy Power to win in 90 minutes while a win to nil is has a chance at 8-7 with 888sport and remember Hull strike stars Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic are cup-tied.
Without those two Bruce could be tempted to park the bus so a 1-0 or 2-0 Gunners win is a possibility. Under 2.5 goals pays 10-11 at Coral.
The obvious choice for first scorer is Arsenal’s leading marksman Olivier Giroud at 7-2 with Paddy Power but another to consider is Aaron Ramsey.
The Welsh midfielder hit 15 goals before being injured at Christmas and returned by netting at Hull. To score first he is 7-1 at Ladbrokes.

I’ve just taken Arteta 2-0 Arsenal in a free comp on twitter, can’t see Arsenal not winning it outright so I took 1/4 for them to win FA Cup, less risk and not that much of difference for price unless it’s for big stakes. Will be putting Arteta anytime on tomorrow tho as Hull could be hard to break down and if they get a pen 99.99% of the time he scores
Ramsey and 2-0 are the 2 common events in arsenal games this season worth a score cast. My best bet of the day is arsenal -2 on corners. What ever the result arsenal will dominate
Hi Craig, what do you think about the corners market in the FA Cup final? Does over 8 match corners look good? Thinking of combining it with Arsenal to lift the trophy…
Ramsey to scoe anytme arsenal to win. 3to1 at willie hills. Looks good to me.
I m. Expecting an insane match with topsy turvey game think for the VALUE and to keep my interest
The heat conditions and occasion can see some goals occurring in the match and I fancy arsenal with btts.
Bruce will have hull giving it a go and arsenal can concede a few in their quest to win.. a 3-2 or 4-2 is nt out of question
I ve taken Curtis Davies anytime 18/1 and tom huddlestone 14/1
Marty fryat 14/5s he’s likely to start and is top scorer.
I also taking 2 plus goals for fryat 28/1 and huddlestone 150/1
Both teams to score is 23/20 and I can see this being open with goals happening on a show piece occasion
All odds William hill
Anyone know of any good offers for the matches today?
Ladbrokes have Giroud @5/1.
Chy there should be 9 corners easily but only getting 2/5 @Bet365, as Hull like to keep it tight I like the -2 corner handicap at evens but will be playing it safer with -2 asian corner handicap at 1.825, bets void if Arsenal win by exactly 2. Also on the multi corners at a lowly 21.5 @ 5/6 and a corner in the 1st ten mins 8/13 but going for 9 mins at 5/6 as Arsenal will be to settle the nerves with an early gl.
Arsenal -2 asian corner handicap 1. 825
Over 21.5 multi corners 5/6
Cornes before 9 mins 5/6
Arteta anytime £4 on at 5/1
Arteta 1st gl £1 on at 12/1 DD & HH @Betfred
Arteta 1st gl 46 mins+ 40/1 £1 @Bet365
Cagey 1st half with Arsenal struggling to break down Hull defence then get a 2nd half pen for Mikael to slot him for the jackpot :)
Thanks Craig. Your thoughts about the DFB and La Liga title decider match corners?
Yeah as with favs, can take -1 goal at 2.25 or minus corners at 2. Know what i would rather take and corners. On advise take the asian at 1.85. GL all
I’ve just taken btts in both games with arsenal and dundee utd to win outright at 9/2+ so leaving corners alone although there should be plenty in the German cup, not sure about Spanish game. All depends on who strikes 1st
Popping Hull +2 in an accumulator just cause 17th of May isn’t an Arsenal kind of day. :)
Both teams to score Hull win 161 @ Bet365..
Come on The Tigers…
I do hope people took my VALUE bets and my goals shouts I said a show piece goal occasions Curtis Davies 18 / 1 anytime and also 23/20 on btts I be saying this last few days prices were big !
What’s 5 x 18 ?
Athletico 4/1 RT9 7-1 up 79 mins far too big considering the time wasting that’ll happen
