Jamal Musiala has been Germany's best player at Euro 2024 so far and is seemingly his nation's best hope of getting past the formidable Spain in the quarter-finals. Musiala has scored three goals in four matches, including the opener in their second group match against Hungary.

Niclas Fullkrug will seemingly have to accept that he is Germany's super sub at Euro 2024 after being put on the bench once again for the round of 16 clash with Denmark. Havertz's goal in that game has cemented himself as Germany's number one striker but Fullkrug has already shown how good he can be late in games, scoring twice as a substitute in the group stages.
Portugal vs France first goalscorer prediction – Kylian Mbappe (11/2)
5 July 2024, 8pm BST – Volksparkstadion, Hamburg
Kylian Mbappe is simmering and ready to burst. The Real Madrid forward has only scored one goal at Euro 2024 so far, and that came from the penalty spot, so to say he's overdue a big performance would be an understatement. Mbappe won the Golden Boot at the 2022 World Cup, scoring five goals in the knockout stages, so now is his time to shine.

Despite how both teams played in the round of 16 (just one goal scored between them), it's unlikely that the attacking talent within both squads will be quiet again. If Mbappe can kick things off with an early goal, then the likes of Ronaldo, Fernandes, Silva and Leao will undoubtedly respond. The last time these two sides met, the match finished 2-2.
England vs Switzerland first goalscorer prediction – Harry Kane (7/2)

Like Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane is another superstar who has struggled so far at Euro 2024. There have even been calls to drop England's record goalscorer in favour of someone who can run in behind. Kane went some way to silencing those critics by scoring the extra-time winner against Slovenia in the round of 16 and we think he will pick up where he left off against Switzerland.
Hot tip – England to score under 1.5 goals (1/2)
England are yet to score more than one goal inside 90 minutes at Euro 2024 and it's difficult to see that changing against Switzerland. The Swiss are the best team England have faced at the tournament, and they haven't conceded two goals in any match they've played at the Euros.
