Day one

Looking to bet on the French Open today? Then look no further, because here at Mr Fixit Tips, we love our tennis.

We’ve gone deep into the day’s order of play and picked out the best bets to make on day two of the French Open.

Best French Open Bets Today

Tsitsipas to Beat Fucsovics 3-2 @ 11/2

Stefanos Tsitsipas is our prediction to win the French Open this year, but that doesn't mean we think round one will be plain sailing for the Greek.

Historically, the 25-year-old has been a sucker for prolonged first-round matches. In his relatively short Grand Slam career, an incredible five of his opening encounters have gone the distance.

Marton Fucsovics also has something of a reputation as a tough-out at Grand Slams. The Hungarian has gone to five sets at majors with the likes of Sebastian Korda, Jannik Sinner, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Stan Wawrinka, Grigor Dimitrov and Andrey Rublev.

Expect Fucsovics to empty the tank first up in Paris, and push Tsitsipas to his limit.

Swiatek -8.5 Handicap vs Jeanjean @ 5/6

Iga Swiatek is in impeccable form ahead of the French Open, having won Madrid and Rome back-to-back. The two-time defending champion starts against No 148 Leolia Jeanjean, and we only see this match going one way.

Jeanjean has barely played on the WTA Tour this year, spending most of her time down at the ITF level. We expect she'll be entirely blown away by Swiatek, who has a reputation for ruthlessly closing out matches.

Across every first-round match she's ever played at the French Open, Swiatek is 10-0 in sets and 61-17 in games. Against a player of Jeanjean's calibre, we don't see this margin changing, and expect the top seed to cover the handicap with ease

Gracheva to Beat Sakkari @ 4/1

This bet is less about Varvara Gracheva, and more about Maria Sakkari.

The Greek has lost three of the past four Grand Slams in the first round. She's not made it past the third round at a major in over two years. While Sakkari has found some decent form recently on clay, we simply believe her Grand Slam hoodoo will strike again, and the No 6 seed will crash out early in Paris.

Gracheva and Sakkari met recently in Rome, with Sakkari winning in straight sets. However, we say this benefits Gracheva more than it does Sakkari. The Frenchwoman now knows exactly what to expect from her opponent, and has had two weeks to prepare her game accordingly.
