LAST week's Top Treble came up at 3-1 and it would nice to repeat the success after a decent week that's brought up several multiples.
I quite like the look of this weekend's coupon and a couple of trebles that tempted me were a Premier League one with Crystal Palace, Stoke and Everton and a Scottish Championship one of Dundee, Hamilton and Falkirk – the three title chasers.
In the end I've mixed and matched, starting the line with Stoke against a Newcastle side who have lost their last three 4-0, 4-0 and 3-0. All week I've read quotes, mainly from Newcastle fans, about how poor their team is and of course they are again missing key men including Loic Remy.
They went down fairly tamely at home to Man United last weekend and lost 4-0 at Southampton in their previous outing when they looked totally outclassed. Stoke's not the place to go if you're lacking confidence or fight and the home win looks a decent shout at over evens.
Stoke's only defeat in six was to Chelsea last week and they'll be looking to avenge a 5-1 defeat at St James's when Newcastle were playing well.
Next up I'll take Dundee – the only one of the three title challengers at home this weekend. They face a Cowdenbeath side hammered 5-0 by Falkirk last week and while Dundee are not as prolific up front their strength is in defence and they haven't conceded many under Paul Hartley.
Cowdenbeath have beaten Dee twice this season before Hartley took charge but have conceded 12 goals in their last three on the road and are beginning to look as if they'll be in the relegation play-off.
Complete the treble with a side I haven't mentioned and that's Derby at home to Huddersfield. Derby have a play-off place sewn up but will be keen to finish third and set up a semi-final against the perceived weaker sixth-placed finisher who could be one of five or six teams at present, including Bournemouth and Blackburn who have battled into contention from nowhere.
Derby remain in decent form and have netted eight in their last two homes games, including a 5-0 rout of Nottm Forest that cost Billy Davies his job.

Basketball is red hot right now and I threw in a baseball bet ‘cos Minnesota Twins due a win.
