LIVERPOOL have had two weeks to lick their wounds after that agonising 4-3 FA Cup quarter final defeat at Manchester United and they welcome Brighton to Anfield on Sunday.
Their priority was always going to be the title anyway and they remain second in the table, behind Arsenal on goal difference in one of the most exciting title races for a long time.
So they cannot afford any slip-ups, but there hasn't been many of them at Fortress Anfield – they remain unbeaten there this season and have the best home record of any team in the league.
They are expected to be without Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota for this one although Ibrahima Konate should return.
It's been a season of consolidation for Brighton who are eighth place with the aim to get back into Europe after they were given a taste of it this season.
However, the Seagulls – who will be without Kaoru Mitoma, Solly March and Jack Hinshelwood – often get their wings clipped on their travels and are only in 12th place when it comes to away records.
They beat Nottingham Forest in their last league and although did beat Roma at home in the Europa League, the damage had been done in the first leg in Italy where they lost 4-0.
How the bookies view it
Liverpool are clear favourites here as you would expect at 2/5 with Coral, who also have the biggest price for a Brighton win at 13/2.
The draw is 9/2 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw at the Amex back in October. Liverpool have actually failed to beat Brighton on their last four meetings.
In fact, Brighton are something of a bogey team for Liverpool and have only lost once to them in their last eight games.
Players to watch
Mo Salah has netted in his last two games for Liverpool and has now scored 26 goals for club and country this season. The Egyptian maestro is 5/6 to score anytime with UniBet.
Evan Ferguson has not quite hit the heights of last season's breakthrough but still has seven goals to his name. The Irish international is 4/1 to score anytime with bet365.
Anything else catch the eye?
Liverpool will want to come flying out the trash here to put down an early marker against a team who haven't been kind to them and the call here is for the hosts to win half time and full time at 21/20 with Coral.
Goals have been something of a problem for Brighton and they've only scored two in their last five games. You would expect Liverpool to tighten up after their experiences at Old Trafford and Jurgen Klopp's side can win this to nil at 7/4 with bet365.
