After delivering a clean sweep of winners in his featured column last weekend, SlipsTips is back with a selection from English League Two on Saturday.

Wrexham vs AFC Wimbledon (Saturday, 15:00)

Wrexham resume their English League Two promotion push when they welcome AFC Wimbledon to the Racecourse Ground on Saturday.

Phil Parkinson’s third-placed slide kicked-off the new year in style with a 4-1 bartering of Barrow before winning 1-0 at League One Shrewsbury in the FA Cup last weekend.

Wimbledon, meanwhile, are currently housed in the top seven and are occupying the final play-off spot, though they were held to a 1-1 draw at relegation-threatened Forest Green in their last league outing.

As such, Wrexham will attract plenty of attention from punters this weekend at 19/20 quotes, however I’m happy to opt for the lower odds of 4/5 (Bet 365) by backing the hosts to score two or more goals.

The Dragons have been entertaining fourth tier crowds all season, smashing in 52 goals across their opening 25 games of the season, a tally only marginally topped by Notts County and Stockport.

What’s more, Phil Phil Parkinson’s top-heavy side have hit multiple strikes in 15 of their 25 League Two matches this season, including each of their 13 fixtures in front of their own supporters.

As already alluded, fourth placed and fellow promotion rivals Barrow were hit for four on their recent visit to the Racecourse so there is plenty of scope for Wimbledon to suffer a similar fate this weekend,

While Johnnie Jackson’s side are currently in the play-off picture, they have failed to silence their opponents  in each of their last four league games, conceding three times against lowly Colchester in their last home game.

It’s also worth noting that the Wombles are without a clean sheet in three of their last four League Two road games, which doesn’t augur well ahead of a trip to free-scoring Wrexham.

With all that in mind, coupled with the fact that this bet would have paid out in all 13 of Wrexham’s League Two home games this season so far, siding with the same selection on Saturday at 4/5 (Bet 365) is a price that definitely represents value.
