With eight matches to play Burnley are only a matter of games away from securing a quick-fire return to the Premier League.
Vincent Kompany's men hold a commanding 13 point lead at the top of the table and enjoy a 16 point gap to Middlesbrough in third. The Clarets can take another huge step towards promotion with a win tonight against Sunderland.
Man City's 6-0 FA Cup win may have brought a dose of reality to Turf Moor but their big prize this season was always going to be a place at the top table once again. Few could have predicted the style with which they've ripped up the Championship under Kompany. To have lost just two games all season in the ultra-competitive second tier is some going and to put things in to perspective they're on track for 103 points, a tally only bettered by Reading back in the 2005-06 season.
Kompany will be keen to get the job done as quickly as possible and the three points should be staying in Lancashire this evening.
Visitors Sunderland have threatened to get in the play-off mix at various points of the season but form his dipped at just the wrong stage of the season. Just one win in seven has seen them slip to 11th in the table and all but end their promotion hopes.
The league leaders look a solid enough bet at 9/20 to win. They've won almost half of their home games to nil (9 of 19) and are a tempting 11/8 to do so tonight.
Tonight's match in the Scottish Championship is crucial at both ends of the table.
The door has been left open for Ayr United at the top of the table with Queen's Park and Dundee's inability to open up a meaningful gap. A win tonight would take them just two points off the summit.
Opponents Arbroath have taken advantage of Cove Rangers' collapse and climbed to 8th in the table. They've been ekeing out draws in recent weeks and pulled off a brilliant 1-0 win over league leaders Queen's Park last weekend to make it five without defeat.
But the match pits the league's worst home record against the league's best away record, if that trends anything to go by then the 11/8 on Ayr Utd to win is worth taking on.
Over in Ireland things are starting to take shape in the Premier Division. Champions Shamrock Rovers have yet to get going and are winless in six, drawing five of those. They always find the going tough at Dundalk's Oriel Park where they've won just three of the 19 league encounters (W3 D7 L9).
Dundalk have made a decent start to the season and sit third, their only defeat coming in Dublin to early league leaders Bohs. 13/5 on the home win feels generous as does the 4/5 in the Double Chance market.

Salford at 7/2 to win away at Stockport tonight is massive value imo. There is no way they should be this big.
The bookies are pricing this based on Stockports unbeaten record at home going back to November which is understandable and they have a very good record in previous encounters with Salford.
The reason why I think this is a great bet is based on not only Salford being the form side in the league and the way they beat the then second placed Stevenage last weekend but for me the Stockport pitch is the key for this bet. They have one of the best pitches in the division and Salford like to play and they will relish this tonight. Some of their best best performances have been away from home this season, last month they beat Mansfield 5-2 away from home, they have beaten Northampton and Sutton away, these are all the better sides in the league.
The return from injury from former St Mirren and Hibs player Stevie Mallan has been a big help, he has real ability to pick out players and it stands out more at this level. He has scored 3 gosls in as many games since returning from his layoff.
They also signed Adrian Mariappa last week, has a wealth of experience even in the Premier league and I think he will go straight into the side tonight. Also Liam Shephard is a key player returning from injury. Like Bolton must be one of the quickest players in this league, I think it was Nigel Clough who described him as a F1 car.
Salford are looking extremely strong right now, I would go as far to say they are the best side in the league on current form.
Of course this won’t be easy tonight, it’s a derby, the home side are strong defensively, they have a good record against Salford but for me they are there for the taking tonight. The pitch is going to make all the difference and imo will be a big advantage for Salford.
At the odds, I think its a cracking bet at a very generous price.
I’ll try get back on later when I see the team sheets as well.
Call me a cynic but won’t Stockport get just as much benefit from the good surface if not more since they play on it a lot more often…could be wrong but that’s maybe why they’re unbeaten so long on it too.
Salford being the form team in the division is arguable too, there’s 4 teams collected more points than Salford in the last 6 games and indeed Salford (10pts) have gained a solitary point more than Stockport(9pts) in those 6 games.
Coincidentally Salford conceded 10 in those 6 while Stockport conceded just 2 and there lies Salford’s problem…they score plenty but concede too many and only 2 teams Doncaster (52) & Mansfield (45) in the top half have conceded more than Salford’s 43.
In a nutshell I wouldn’t bet Salford with someone else’s money tonight.
Best of luck 🤞
1-0 Stockport
Double handful, great write up much appreciated buddy, good luck to all.
My home team in action tonight (Arbroath) should be a good few corners in the game in total👍
Thanks I hope Abroath get the win tonight and good luck with your corners bet
Western Sydney v adelaide over 2.5 goals and over 10 corners gliuf
Double Handful
Now that’s what I call top notch research and a write up. I will be having £20 on, just for the sake of the time you have taken to post. Legend, thanks mate 👍🏽
You would say that.. since you’re the same person, self praise is no praise! I agree that Salford are ridiculously overpriced, I’m on them to score 2+ at 5/2
Legend 😂😂😂 jokers
Great tipping from macca and elvis yesterday on a day there was very little to pick from. Appreciated!!! 😊👍
I think it’ll be around the same time City have their parade for the Champions league, which will be never 🤣🤣
Top weekend of football coming up Liverpool top the table when it comes to playing the top sides. Haaland highly unlikely to play as he hasn’t trained, Foden also out, Diaz is back for Liverpool.
Pool are a cracking price for goals alright
So my money is on Liverpool to thrash man city
When’s the trophy parade for the winning the “Results against the Other Top Six teams” League
You would say that… Since you and Klopp are the same person!! 😜
Hi, one for tomorrow & sunday!
All to win,
Aberdeen
Rangers
Dundee
Dunfermline
Stirling
Celtic to win on Sunday
Betfair 10.6/1. Easy money!!! 😉
Another action packed Adelaide game. 5 goals, 7 cards, 15 corners.
47 goals in their last 9 games
Every game both teams to score
8 games both score o2.5
7 games both score over 4.5
5 games both score over 5.5
Get them in your black book
I had Over 4.5 goals doubled with Over 4.5 goals in the Cartagines game from Costa Rica last night, both finished 3-2 never in doubt lol
Can’t defend but can’t stop scoring. It’s a profitable mix
Bayern Munich II in the Regional Leagues away at bottom club Heimstetten who they’ve never lost too in 13 meetings. They’ve won each of the last 6 meetings with the last 2 at Heimstetten finishing 2-1 & 7-2 to Munich
Bayern Munich II win & BTTS 9/5
Double, do you fancy a first half goal? 7-4 tonight. That is the biggest odds i ve seen for them sinse I started doing this bet. Let us down last week at steevenage but before that i had winners 5 games on spin including 2 matchs where they scored 2 in first half at 12s and 6s. Been a real monney spinner . Superb write up fella although I bet the draw instead as think they will both settle for a point each. You probiably noticed how many games lately of teams in top 7 drawin 0-0. I think this will be same 2nite but best of luck
It’s a tempting price isn’t it. I wouldn’t put anyone having a go. It was 15/8 yesterday when I looked.
I can totally understand why you fancy the draw as you’re right both teams taking a point wouldn’t be a bad result fir their promotion/ playoff chances. Best of luck with it.
Thanks mate. Goodon u saying something as well. Its like back at school on here seeing people trying to bully others at times good luck with yours to
Here we go again – Urmmm Liverpool to beat Man City and score loads of goals can’t wait to read the tip me 😂😂😂
Did i mention Liverpool winning and scoring lots of goals??? i find it very sad that the same person puts up a tip and replies to it using different accounts, i’d say that very person is a a disturbed individual indeed. With what i have read it’s like proof reading some b*llsh*t.
You know what they say Macca…hearing voices isn’t the first sign of madness but talking to yourself is the first step to the wacky ward
Ghapmaster what you mean like your tip of Milan to win, i believe the sharps were on Udinese that night. Milan lost 3-1 i believe.
Doublehandful you should stick up for ya self on here pal. Seen you get stick loads but you dont say anything back. Its uncalled for from peoplewhy cant people just stop the childishnes. This kind of stuff scares away new posters thinking they just gonna get grief.

Macca – Admin can confirm I have only one account. Concentrate on Liverpool and your tips love reading them like I said 🤣
Admin can confirm you only have one account, but we all know your tied in with the disturbed individual. The only tip you have posted from what i have seen lost and lost heavily and that was Milan at Udinese 3-1 so what’s your point???
Last highlight for the day… South of France for what could be a feisty game between Marseille and Montpellier.
There’s been a red card shown in 3 of the last 5 meetings of the sides including each of the last 2.
Tonight’s referee has flashed 6 reds in 14 matches he’s officiated,a total only bettered by 1 official in Ligue 1 this season.
Red card in the match 11/4
Those 6 red cards from the referee have came in 3 matches with 2 reds in each one…
Both sides to get a red card 45/1
Just looked at the red card stats in Ligue 1 and Montpellier are top of the pile with 9 reds. Could be more value in the away side red card at ,5/1. Also worth noting that the 3 reds in the recent H2H meetings have all been for the away side.
Montpellier red card 5/1
Cheers for highlighting this, good odds also.
Am on the 2 of them with Betfair Smokey , odds a bit higher with them mate Good luck .
Mac that account trying to bait you about liverpool isn’t me and I certainly didn’t send praise to myself. I’m aware of the constant trolling I get but I never reply as it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I’m not this guy called Dean from Ireland and fir the good of this site I am more than happy to send my identification to whoever is in charge on here.
I think your great Mac, your tips, from what I see are always spot on. I’m 63 years old, I don’t try to bait people about their team on the Internet. I’m just a very quiet guy who enjoys a bet from time to time I never bother anyone, I have nothing bad to say about anyone, even people who do the trolling I still like them and having nothing bad to say about them, I think everyone on here is great.
If people want to continue trolling me I’m completely fine, seeing the words is no different to watching a cloud in the sky pass. But as someone above has mentioned it will effect people new to the site seeing people trolled that’s why I am more than happy to prove who I am to whoever it may concern.
It’s funny or a big coincidence that when you post the trolls seem to appear, i.e Ghapmaster and his allies, maybe they are looking to steal the write ups for their poor customers. I don’t give write ups for that very reason.
Double Handful – Don’t worry about it mate, Macca is also paranoid about me, assuming I have loads of accounts.
Macca – As for my Milan tip, it may have lost, but to be honest like I’ve said many many times – Your tips are amazing and I love reading them. Can’t wait for the Man City v Liverpool tips you will be posting I really can’t
Who comes on to a betting forum and writes lol with a smiley face when a bet loses??? why would you even log in to write that again another sad act. Funny thing about that was you then tipped Milan to win which lost heavily, i never said a word that night more as i have more about me than that but as your trolling today i though i’d bring it up. Good luck with your bets
Burnley v Sunderland – Anybody see Sunderland scoring tonight ? BTTS ?
Yes.
We’re the 4th top scorers in the league despite playing 3/4 of the season without a recognised striker. We’ve scored in 18 consecutive league games. We play high pressing, attacking football. Injuries have absolutely ravaged our season but absolutely no reason why we can’t get on the score sheet tonight.
Jack Clarke 9.00 to score is way too big.
Macca – Concentrate on tips please. Can’t wait to read them like I said.
APC – Cheers mate. I was just thinking that BTTS was good value tonight @ 10/11.
Btts and overs 2.40 on 365.
Vikingur ii vs Streymur ii
Vikingur ii -2 Asian handicap @ 1.875 (bet365) Nap
Over 4.5mgs @ 27/20 (bet365) Nb
Small stake
Over 5.5mgs @ 11/4 (Whill)
Streymur ii didn’t even have this team in the second tier last season as they disappeared into the lower reaches of Faroese football. Their first team are traditionally pretty poor never mind their second string. Vikingur ii on the other hand tend to be one of the best teams in this division, regularly racking up big wins, with their first team one of the best in the country.
I just have a feeling some of these prices are higher than I would have expected and hope to capitalise on that. Even the over 2.5mgs @ 1/4 in my opinion should have been near double that. Let’s hope the bookies are wrong here.
Good luck 🤞

Evening gents,
Not the best of weeks and well done to all who have had winners!
I’m looking towards my ancestral betting home of Iceland and it’s good to see that 365 are offering a broader market than they have done historically – I sense goals in a few of the games but will plump for the following.
There’s every chance that Kari will get the majority and also that late goals will feature for anyone fancying a longer shot:
KARI VS. LETTIR REYKJAVIK (8.00pm)
OVER 4.5 MATCH GOALS
(8/13, bet365) NAP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
OVER 5.5 MATCH GOALS
(5/4, bet365) NB ⭐️⭐️
KARI OVER 4.5 2ND HALF GOALS

Best of luck with all bets!

Portuguese Liga 3 🇵🇹
Both teams to score 10-11 (HILLS)
Prediction 1-1
Pierre Ekwah 4.00 To be carded.
18.70 double
Trai Hume to be carded
Alex Pritchard shot on target
Ekwah only played u21 football. Big step
Up for him. He’s a cm who breaks it up. May struggle.
Hume has improved a lot but couldn’t handle Burnley in reverse fixture. Can get frustrated and prone to some crunching challenges.
Pritchard playing most advanced of midfielders to support Geldhart.
After seeing team sheet my confidence levels have dropped
Just wanted to correct someone who has kindly put up Salford stats above. They have 13 points from last 6 games not 10. They are 2nd in the firm table not 5th. I was wrong saying they were top, I was going off memory alone and forgot they blew their 3-2 lead over Crewe, a game which 9 times out of 10 they would have held on to win. I think it would have been worth mentioning Stockport only scoring 3 in their last 6 games also. Stockport struggled to beat Swindon last week with a 1 player advantage after 30 seconds of play, the previous games they have struggled in front of goal big time.
My comment was also not judt based on stats but on performances, the victory against Doncaster was, imo, the best team performance of the season, that game could easily have been 7-1.
They then followed it up last week betting Stevenage who had only been beaten twice I believe at home all season, a victory they well deserved.
Like I said I haven’t bet them or against them and best of luck 👍
Never been so excited to see the outcome of a league two match that I haven’t bet on in Stockport v Salford haha. Popcorn at the ready.
