Euro 2024 Bet of the day

Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Euro 2024 qualifiers, and once again, I’ve highlighted one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

⚽️ Israel 🇮🇱 vs Kosovo 🇽🇰

🇪🇺 Euro 2024 Qualifying

⏰ Saturday 25th March, 17:00

Israel and Kosovo begin their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign in Tel Aviv this teatime, and both sides will look to make a positive start in what appears to be a wide-open group.

Israel failed to qualify for their first World Cup since Mexico 70 as they finished in third place in their qualifying group, some seven points behind second-placed Scotland. Alon Hazan's men did, however, have a successful Nations League campaign, as they earned promotion to League A, as they finished top of the group after collecting eight points from their four matches against Iceland (63rd) and Albania (66th). The Blue and Whites have found the back of the net in 12 of their previous 14 competitive matches – scoring on multiple occasions in 11 of those – only failing to score in both World Cup qualifiers with Denmark in that run.

Kosovo failed to qualify for their first World Cup finals, as they finished bottom of their qualifying group after collecting five points from their eight qualifiers (W1-D2-L5) with Spain (10th), Sweden (23rd), Greece (51st) and Georgia (78th). However, Alain Giresse’s visitors were able to consolidate their position in League C in the Nations League, as they won three of their six matches (W3-D0-L3) against Greece (51st), Northern Ireland (59th ) and Cyprus (110th). The Balkan nation have found the back of the net in nine of their previous 14 competitive fixtures, failing to score against Greece and Sweden twice and Spain once.

Bet of the Day

Placed in a group with Switzerland (12th), Romania (52nd), Belarus (97th) and Andorra (153rd), both Israel and Kosovo will feel as if they have a legitimate case for qualifying for next year’s finals in Germany.

Both Teams to Score banked in 11 of Israel’s previous 14 competitive matches – and given Kosovo have registered just two clean sheets across their last 14 competitive fixtures, as well as scoring in five of their previous seven on the road – I’m happy to have a punt on these two nations getting on the scoresheet in Tel Aviv this teatime.

  • Both Teams to Score
  • Pays 42/41 (SBK)
