Burnley will be aiming to strengthen their grip at the top of the Championship table as they host West Brom in a Friday night fixture. While the Baggies have been resurgent in recent weeks, a clash at the home of the league leaders could prove a bridge too far.
Burnley have won nine of their last 10 Championship matches and are five points clear at the top of the standings.
The Clarets are coming off a 1-0 home victory over Coventry City in their previous Championship fixture. They were made to work hard by the visitors with Jordan Beyer's effort eight minutes from time proving the difference.
The win over Coventry City extends Burnley’s excellent record at Turf Moor, which has been a fortress all season. Vincent Kompany’s men are unbeaten in front of their fans so far, claiming a few one-sided victories along the way, including a 3-0 win over third placed Blackburn Rovers.
After struggling during the early stage of the season, West Brom appear to have returned to their best, claiming nine wins from the last 10 Championship matches. They have played themselves into playoff contention and currently occupy the final spot, two points clear of Norwich City just outside the top six.
West Brom travel to Turf Moor off the back of a thrilling 3-2 victory at Luton Town in their previous Championship fixture. They fought back from two goals down with Daryl Dike, Jayson Molumby and Conor Townsend getting the goals.
While West Brom have generally impressed on their travels lately, they tend to get things wrong every now and then. Carlos Corberan’s men recently lost 1-0 at Coventry City while they were also held to a 3-3 draw by National League side Chesterfield.

Baggies karlon grant has an injury and wasnt in the spuad for chesterfield game so may start from the bench if he,s included.Assante up top is on a ban which leaves Dike as the lone striker. Matt Phillips who has been playing well is out for a month or so has to be replaced so Carlos Corberon has to shuffle the pack a bit.Defence could be a problem as Bartley still out and Ajayi his understudy having a mare of a time at the moment.. Cov game was blip and the firstChesterfield game was effectivly a 2nd string squad so woulnt look too much into that although mighty lucky to get a replay.Jed Wallace coud be the one to keep an eye out for we and Dike if he gets the run on the Burnley defence. I think we Baggies could tek a hard gained point from the game so im going for 1-1 draw. good luck with your bets. UTB
