OWEN SCOTT picked out some good stats that pointed us in the right direction at the weekend.

He's taken time out in preparing for Christmas to post some interesting info about Thursday SPFL matches. All prices from William Hill.

St Johnstone v Celtic

Charlie Mulgrew has scored in three of the last five games against St Johnstone. Mulgrew to score anytime 5-1.

Aberdeen v Motherwell

The last three times these sides have met at Pittodrie it ended all square. Game to be a draw 11-5.

Hearts v Kilmarnock

On the last two visits to Tynecastle a Killie player has scored a hat-trick. Any Killie player to bag a treble – and the obvious choice is Kris Boyd – pays 14-1.

Partick Th v Inverness

Both teams have scored in five of their last six meetings. Both to score and Inverness win 10-3.

Ross County v Hibs

Only three goals have been scored in the last four meetings between these sides, Ross County winning two of them. County to win to nil 10-3.

St Mirren v Dundee Utd

Ryan Gauld is the player everyone wants to talk about just now with clubs such as Arsenal and Man United eyeing up the brilliant young midfielder. He scored in last match v the Saints. Gauld to score anytime 11-4.

Rangers v Stranraer

Jon Daly and Lee McCulloch have been the main goal threats for Rangers this
season. Daly and McCulloch both to score 23-20.
