A poor day yesterday, which feels a lot worse when I think about the run of Coach Carter, who was narrowly beaten. The fact he got as close as he did when he jumped like a bus, was some effort. The drop in trip did catch him out, which is what I was worried about, but with better jumping he would've won that. As for Corey's Courage, wow. That performance was so bad, I can't believe they even had her entered in a Grade 2.
Perth 2:40
West To The Bridge is the one they all have to beat on paper, as he arrives to Perth in the form of his life and is on for the five timer, but I think he has to be taken on. From his 8 career wins, none of them have come on ground better than soft, which is a real concern if you're backer, as even though the ground is being watered, it will dry out and probably be on the fast side of good to soft. His last two wins have been with Tristan Durrell in the saddle, who is a 7lb claimer, so the fact Harry Skelton is back on, isn't exactly a help. He's clearly a better jockey, but the weight advantage they've had previously with this horse is no longer there and he is high enough in the handicap off a mark of 139 when he effectively won off 126 & 129 the last two races.
My selection in the race is NO RISK DES FLOS who is also coming into this race in good form, previously winning the last two. He's not been seen for 70+ days, so comes here fresh. He is a horse who is similar to winning tip An Tailliur from the weekend just gone. By that I mean he appears to dawdle when hitting the front, and only wins by what is required. He is a strong travelling type, so if they go slow, it won't hinder his performance, but if they go a gallop he has proven he does stay the trip. He will have to be delivered late, due to the fact he is a bit of a thinker, but I hope he will be on the bridle when jumping three/two out.
Big Bad Bear would've been of interest but his stable are really out of form, so I think it's best to look elsewhere. The same applies to Coolbane Boy who won nice enough the time before the last day, but he seriously disappointing when upped in Grade, so it's hard to gauge if he's well handicapped or in the grips of the handicapper. He has a lot to prove today, and this will be the acid test for him, in what appears to be a decent race.

Top man post man cheers for those selections 👌💰👍
No Problembo Dazzman 👌 happy to share.
Stick ‘Above Suspicion’ in your tracker. It was very badly hampered by faller 5th from home. Not saying it would have won but all chance had gone today. Probably will turn out soon with Cairen Gatherings on it to nurse it home 👍
