Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on the French Ligue 1 and the Norwegian Eliteserien. I’ve picked a selection from each league which I like the look of for goals to give us a nice odds against double.

Brest vs Lens

🇫🇷 Ligue 1

⏰ Sunday 21st November, 12:00

Lens travel to Brittany on Sunday lunch time to take on Brest at the Stade Francis-Le Blé. The hosts currently sit in 17th position, above Bordeaux only on goal difference. The visitors come into matchday 14 in 2nd place, behind only PSG.

After failing to win any of their opening 11 matches in Ligue 1, Brest have won back to back matches against both Monaco and rivals Lorient. Brest remain the only side in Ligue 1 to score in every match, scoring 16 goals in their opening 13 matches. Brest’s 2-0 win over Monaco in their last home match was their first clean sheet in the league this season. Only four sides have conceded more goals in Ligue 1 than Brest this season, with the Brittany club conceding on 21 occasions.

Lens impressively defeated Troyes 4-0 last time out to make it three wins in a row at home, scoring 10 goals. However, Lens have lost their last two away games to both Montpellier and Lyon. Lens have kept only one of their four clean sheets on their travels this season, with them conceding in each of their last four away games, conceding on multiple occasions in three of them. Lens have only failed to score twice in Ligue 1 this season and have scored 25 goals, with only PSG scoring more.

Servette vs Grasshoppers

🇨🇭 Super League

⏰ Sunday 21st November, 15:30

Grasshoppers are on their travels on Sunday afternoon as they take on Servette at the Stade de Genève. The visitors come into Sunday lying in 5th position on 18 points, three places and six points above their hosts.

Servette’s 1-2 loss at home to Zürich last time out made it five successive losses in the Swiss Super League and seven matches without a win. Servette are one of two sides in Super League yet to keep a clean sheet this season, conceding 28 goals – the joint highest in the division. Servette have only failed to score twice this season, scoring 20 goals in their 13 matches.

Grasshoppers were on course to secure all three points at home to champions Young Boys last out, but conceded in stoppage time to draw 1-1. Grasshoppers have only kept one clean sheet all season and that Young Boys goal means they’ve conceded in each of their last 11 Super League matches. Grasshoppers failed to score in their opening two matches of the season against both Young Boys and Basel, but have since scored in their last 11 matches, scoring on 23 occasions.

Bet of the Day

Brest come into this full of confidence after winning their first two games of the season and will aim to make it three against high flying Lens. Brest are the only side to score in all of their matches in Ligue 1 this season, but they’ve managed to keep one clean sheet. Lens have struggled defensively on their travels but only PSG have scored more in Ligue 1 than them this season. This game looks good for goals and I’m backing both sides to net. Goals look the way to go in Switzerland also with Servette yet to keep a clean sheet this season and Grasshoppers keeping just the one. Both sides have found the back of the net in 22/26 of their combined matches in the m Super League this season and I’m backing both sides to score here once more.

  • Brest vs Lens – Both Teams to Score
  • Servette vs Grasshoppers – Both Teams to Score
  • Double Pays 17/10 (SBK)
