LIVERPOOL will be looking to make it two wins from two in Champions League Group B when they take on Porto at Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday night.
The Reds hit the ground running in a remarkable pool opener, with Jurgen Klopp's men mounting a vintage comeback to beat AC Milan in a 3-2 thriller.
That memorable night at Anfield sent Liverpool to the summit of the section and they will be keen to tighten their grip on top spot when they travel to Portugal this midweek.
Liverpool warmed up for their latest Champions League challenge with a barnstorming 3-3 draw at Brentford on Saturday, a result that means the Reds remain the only unbeaten side in the Premier League this season.
Meanwhile, Porto left it late to claim all three points in a last gasp- 2-1 Primeira Liga victory at Gil Vicente on Friday night.
Sergio Conceicao's side have yet to taste defeat this season and they demonstrated their big-game mettle when shutting out Atletico Madrid on Matchday 1.
Outright Betting
Porto have not lost a home game in their last three group stage campaigns but the hosts head into this clash as big underdogs at 18/5 (SBK) while the stalemate is an unfancied 3/1 (SBK) with the same firm.
Liverpool have never lost to Porto and the bookies odds suggest that record will remain intact, with the Reds 3/4 (SBK) favourites on Tuesday night.
Betting Angles
Liverpool look a bit too short to side with here so I'll head to the Bet Builder market and combine over one Liverpool and over zero Porto cards, a backable 5/6 shot at Bet 365.
The Reds look more like their old selves this season, with the Merseysiders avoiding defeat in eight outings thus far and scoring two or more goals on all but one of those occasions.
In fact, Klopp's star-studded side have notched up exactly three strikes in each of their last five matches across all competitions and the free-scoring Reds will undoubtedly represents Porto's toughest test of the season to date.
Indeed, Porto managed to keep Atletico Madrid at bay in their Group B curtain-raiser, but boss Sergio Conceicao looks set to be without his preferred centre-back pairing when six-time European Cup winners Liverpool come to town.
What's more, Porto have failed to post a clean sheet in 4/7 Portuguese top-flight outings this term so with all things considered, I'm more than happy to side with two or more Liverpool goals on Tuesday night.
To round off the Bet Builder I'll back Porto pick up at least one card – the Dragons have collected a minimum of one caution in eight of their last nine Champions League matches, a sample that includes a whopping six yellows and one red against Atleti in their section opener.
I successfully tipped Mohamed Salah to make the net bulge against Brentford and I make no apology for including the Egyptian goal-getter to strike at the Estadio do Dragao this midweek.
As already alluded to, Porto may be without their regular centre-back pairing and Salah, who has scored in each of his last five appearances for Liverpool, looks an appetising play at 23/20 with BetVictor to continue his hot-streak in front of goal.
