Brighton vs Arsenal

, KO: 18:00 Dec 29, 2020, Amex Stadium
Arsenal

ARSENAL will be aiming to build on their Boxing Day victory over Chelsea when they take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday night.

A youthful looking Arsenal side ended a seven-match winless run with a fine 3-1 over the Blues, a game where our man KevinMac cashed in by successfully tipping up two tasty odds-against winners.

That London derby triumph has lifted the pressure on beleaguered boss Mikel Arteta who will be hoping he can inspire his side to back-to-back league wins for the first time since the opening two weekends of the season.

Standing in the Gunners way this midweek is a Brighton & Hove Albion outfit who find themselves perched precariously above the Premier League‘s bottom-three sides.

Graham Potter, Brighton

Graham Potter's possession-based style of play has earned the Seagulls plenty of plaudits but they have little to show for it after amassing just 15 points from a possible 45 thus far.

Having said that, Brighton's 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday extended their unbeaten run to three matches and it's worth noting that the South Coast side have avoided defeat in each of their last five encounters with Arsenal.

Outright Betting

Brighton have drawn seven of their Premier League matches this season and a repeat here pays 9/4 with PaddyPower, while a first home success of the season for the Seagulls is priced up at 21/10 with the same firm.

Arsenal are best priced at 13/10 with William Hill to record their first win over Brighton since 2017.

Betting Angles

Goals have been a regular feature in games involving Brighton this season and I see no reason to oppose that trend when Arsenal come to town on Tuesday night.

11 of the Seagulls 15 Premier League matches have ended with both teams getting on the scoreboard, while Brighton have rewarded BTTS backers in six of their seven home games this term.

What's more, nine of Albion's top-flight tussles to date have produced three or more strikes and seven of those assignments have seen the combination of both teams to score and over 2.5 goals click.

It's also worth noting that Brighton have recorded just two clean sheets across their last 13 Premier League matches and those shutouts came against fellow relegation battlers Burnley and Fulham.

Aubameyang

Arsenal, meanwhile, have conceded in 12 of their 15 league matches this season and the Londoners have failed to lock out their opponents in each of their last nine matches across all competitions.

With that in mind, I was pleasantly surprised to see that we can back both teams to score here at 17/20 with Betway – a bet that has banked profit in each of Arsenal's last four matches.

That train of thought is also going to see me head to the Bet Builder market to combine over one match goal and each team to collect over zero cards, a 5/6 shot with Bet 365.

The above-mentioned Bet Builder has banked in five of the Gunners last six Premier League matches and it's a formula that generated profit in both meetings between these two sides last season.

This match between Brighton and Arsenal will be played on Dec 29, 2020 and kick off at 18:00. Check below for our tipsters best Brighton vs Arsenal prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
