THE stage is set for an intriguing Anfield clash as the Premier League's top two collide with only goal difference keeping Tottenham above Liverpool at the summit.
The champions had a chance to move clear on Sunday after Spurs coughed up a late equaliser at Crystal Palace, ensuring that just one of my tips landed for that match.
But Jurgen Klopp's men then slipped up at lowly Fulham, needing a late Mo Salah penalty to escape with a 1-1 draw as our man Slips Tips was left frustrated.
In this Premier League season like no other it seems as if no side is capable of pulling away from the pack and I wouldn't be hugely surprised if this clash ended in a stalemate.
Both teams have lost just once in the league all season, with Spurs crashing to Everton on the opening weekend and Liverpool suffering a shock 7-2 trouncing at Aston Villa.
Jose Mourinho has consistently played down Tottenham's title chances but if they can emerge from Anfield with a victory then fans will surely start to dream of glory.
Tottenham sat back to frustrate Manchester City then floored them with some deadly counter attacks and the same strategy could get some joy against a Liverpool defence still missing Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
How the bookies view it
Liverpool are odds-on favourites with home advantage and are a best 16/19 with SBK while Spurs are 37/10 with the same firm. A draw is priced 3/1 with Boylesport.
Recent head to head
Liverpool have bossed this fixture in recent seasons and are unbeaten in six games against Spurs, winning five. Tottenham's last victory was a 4-1 triumph in 2017 and they have beaten the Reds just twice in the last 19 meetings.
Last season, Liverpool recovered from an early Harry Kane goal to win 2-1 at Anfield (below) before claiming a 1-0 victory in London.
Players to watch
With Diogo Jota injured, Klopp will have to rely on his classic front three of Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. Senegal star Mane has drawn a blank in his late eight so I reckon a goal is long overdue and fancy him at 8/5 with 888Sport for anytime scorer.
Son Heung-min let me down when I backed him to score at Palace but the Korean's pace could cause the Reds a bit of trouble. Son is a decent 5/2 with Bet365 to grab a goal.
Anything else catch the eye?
Four of the last five meetings have ended in one-goal winning margins and a repeat here appeals at 6/4 with Betway.
Over 2.5 goals has come up in Liverpool's last seven home league games but Tottenham's last five league matches have all delivered under 2.5 strikes so something has to give.
I'm going to side with a more cautious game as the odds are better, with under 2.5 strikes paying 17/13 at SportNation compared to a best 8/11 at SBK for over 2.5 goals.
There could be a few cards in such an important game with over 3.5 cards looking decent at 10/11 with Bet365.Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has four bookings to his name already and is 5/2 with Paddy Power for another card.
