Blackburn v Norwich City Over 2.5 Goals 5/6

Blackburn's promotion hopes have taken a bit of a dent in the last two games, picking up just 1 point from six and it doesn't get any easier this wekeend with the visit of table-topping Norwich. They're still top scorers in the Championship though and in Adam Armstrong have one of the in-form strikers in the league.

Norwich have been steady if unspectacular so far this season but have netted in 14 of 17 to date. If there's to be a winner in this one then I think they'll need to score at least two so Over 2.5 Goals is the play for me here.

Scunthorpe to score 2+ 11/8

Scunthorpe let me down in midweek, falling to a 1-0 defeat at home to Colchester but they should pick up three points at Southend who are already becoming detached at the bottom of League Two with just six points from a possible 45.

Irons gaffer Neil Cox quoted as saying “It was one-way traffic if I’m being honest, I think we had 25 chances on goal” after Tuesday's so I'm happy to give them another chance. I've swithered over taking them (now 23/20) to win or to score two at 11/8 and have decided to opt for the latter in the knowledge that Southend have conceded two or more in 11 of their 15 league matches.

Stockport 6+ Corners 4/5

Stockport have been in my notebook for a while due to their tremendous corner count. They're averaging 8.67 per match which makes them one of, if not THE most prolific in Europe.

In their last 12 matches they've racked up the following corner counts; 9-6-11-9-6-8-12-12-10-5-6-10 – so the 4/5 about 6+ corners would've landed in 11 of 12.

Queen's Park 1/1

Everyone and their granny seem to be on the Spiders this weekend and that's always a concern but they're starting to flex their muscles in Scottish League Two now that their squad is approaching full fitness.

Edinburgh City were expected to be their main challengers but they already find themselves seven points behind after a faltering start to the season. The Spiders have big ambitions and can cement their promotion credentials with a win at Hampden.

Leicester City 1/1 (Sunday)

I'd expected Leicester to be a shorter price than even money at home to a Brighton side who have won just one in ten. Brendan Rodgers sit a healthy fifth in the table and these are games they must win if they've got top four ambitions.

A 2-1 defeat to Fulham in their last home match will have jolted the Foxes but there's no denying their home form has been poor so far. Time to put that right with a good win on Sunday.
