THERE are some decent matches tonight and let's start with West Ham v Spurs – and it's one I was struggling to make up my mind about.
Spurs should be good enough to nick a win but Upton Park isn't the easiest place to visit with the bulk of Sam Allardyce's side's points coming at home.
However, in the end two words have convinced me to back Spurs at a biggest 5-4 with BetVictor and William Hill … Gareth Bale.
The Wales star has been in the form of his life with six goals in four games before failing to hit the target in Thursday's 1-1 draw away to Lyon.
Inspired by Bale an injury-hit Spurs outfit, who have shruggled off the loss of Jermain Defoe, have been beaten once in 14 outings and that can kind of form can help them to three points in their quest for a Champions League place.
It should be tight and BetVictor go 17-2 on a 1-0 Spurs win which has a chance.
Bale netted against the Hammers at White Hart Lane and with 13 is now the club's top scorer ahead of Defoe. He is 5-1 at BetVictor to score first and 11-8 at Ladbrokes to net at anytime.
Striker Manny Adebayor is bigger at 6-1 with bet365 and for that reason will have backers.
The Hammers' best chance of a goal will come from Andy Carroll who is 15-2 (various) to hit the opener and 13-5 at sportingbet to score at anytime.
Elsewhere, Levante have looked a decent side in the Europa League, beating Olympiakos home and away to reach the last 16, but have struggled on the domestic scene.
Levante have won just one in seven while opponents Osasuna's only loss in seven was 5-1 to Barcelona. However, Osasuna have struggled on their travels with just one win so home advantage could swing it Levante's way.
They are a biggest 21-20 at BetVictor and Coral and consider Obafemi Martins for first goal. The former Newcastle hitman netted the midweek winner in Greece and is 5-1 favourite with the likes of William Hill and Paddy Power.
So now to Italy and the “banker” of the night, Lazio at home to Pescara. It's Champion League chasers v relegation candidates so there should be only one winner in Rome.
Lazio are no bigger than 2-7 at BetVictor though so look at them to win minus one at 3-4 with Ladbrokes against a side who have conceded 12 goals in four games, including six at Sampdoria.
In the absence of injured hitman Miroslav Klose the mantle has been taken on by Sergio Floccari who has netted in his last three games. Back him at 9-2 with Paddy Power to score first and 11-10 at anytime.
I'm not betting on the other Serie A clash between Udinese and an off-form Napoli. It could be a draw as the Naples have won just one in five – but it's an easy call.
The only stat that stands out is the fact four of the last five meetings – the other was 0-0 – have gone over 3.5 goals. A repeat of over 3.5 pays 14-5 at sportingbet.
Galatasaray are back in action after letting loads of us down in the Champions League in midweek. They were held 1-1 at home to Schalke but should go one better when Ordospur visit.
The Istanbul giants are backable at 2-5 with the likes of William Hill and look at Burak Yilmaz at 7-2 with William Hill to score first. I tipped him to the business against Schalke and he is overshadowing Didier Drogba with 14 goals in 12 games.
Recommendations
Bale to score first
(5-1, BetVictor)
Lazio -1
(3-4, Ladbrokes)
Yilmaz to score first
(7-2, William Hill)
Yilmaz/Floccari anytime scorers double
Pays a biggest £37.80 to a £10 stake at BetVictor
PORTUGAL: Portuguese Liga
Eight of Academica’s most recent nine Portuguese Liga home games – and all of the last six – have gone Over 2.5 Goals and so have 5/8 Maritimo away matches.

Laudrup is already being touted as a potential successor to Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, and bigger clubs in the Premier League will bang on Swansea’s door too. Meanwhile he could prove his potential even further between now and the end of the season. There’s value about the Swans. They are only two points behind Liverpool who are 1.9 for a top six finish, yet Swansea are anywhere between 20.0 and 34.0. And while the Reds are 1.81 favourites to be winner without the top six, Swansea’s price ranges from 19.5 to 150.

West Ham United v Tottenham
Monday, 20:00, live on Sky Sports 1
The Hammers have lost three of their last five home league encounters with the Lilywhites, winning just one
The recent home win against Swansea provided West Ham with much needed Premier League points and briefly halted a perilous slide down the table following six games without victory in all competitions. However, the subsequent loss to Aston Villa will have done little to stem fears of being drawn into the relegation scrap for the Hammers faithful. Next up is a really tough fixture against a talented Tottenham side who last tasted a Premier League defeat 11 games back on December 9. The gulf in class between the sides was apparent when Spurs cruised to a 3-1 victory back in November at White Hart Lane and, on current form, another Lilywhites win looks the most plausible outcome.
Recommended Bet: Back Tottenham to win @ 2.22
Gareth Bale has now scored 10 goals in his last 12 Premier League appearances
In form such as this, it’s difficult to imagine West Ham containing Tottenham’s flying Welshman and they certainly wouldn’t be the first. Some of Bale’s recent performances in a Spurs shirt have rightly earned him the tag as one of the best players in the world at present. As he demonstrated against Lyon on two occasions, Bale has also now perfected his own unique blend of keeper-bamboozling free-kicks, as if raw pace, skill and goals were not enough for one man’s armoury. In the reverse fixture at the end of November, it was of course Bale who scored the second in that resounding Spurs victory.
Best Bet: Back Gareth Bale to score @ 2.5
Tottenham have scored the highest proportion of goals in the second half of games this season (73%)
Mousa Dembele’s last-minute strike against Lyon was not hugely unexpected given this Tottenham team’s propensity for a last-gasp goal, demonstrated on numerous occasions this season. Since Clint Dempsey’s stoppage-time equaliser against Man United, Spurs have scored eight times in six games with six of those goals coming after the half-time team talk. These stats are a credit to the fitness of this team if nothing else and, replete with so much pace, especially in wide areas, it’s no surprise to see opponents tiring in the second period of games. All three of the Hammers’ most recent Premier League goals have also arrived after the break.
Recommended Bet: Back the second half to contain more goals @ 2.3

Home And Away DOUBLE.
Milesey
good morning Mr Fixit and all readers,
I hope you had a good weekend. Paul did you make any profit this weekend or not. I sadly lost.
I have thoughts re tonights games and theya re west ham game and Levante game both teams to score.
I fancy ish Spurs but if i did i woudl have a wee cover on the 2-2 correct score draw.
best of luck and be happy
Booboo, it was a mixed weekend. My home selections won on Saturday but I lost on my treble and single. Yesterday, however, was a great day. My treble and single went down but I backed, in various ways, and tipped all of these guys to score on the site – Michu, Rickie Lambert, Johnny Russell, Yaya Toure and Falcao. I did them as trebles, fours and fivefolds and also singles to score first and therefore hit with Toure and Falcao. I was also on Celtic and Swansea on the handicaps and Man City to win. I had other losers of course but a good profit overall.
Tottenham. – galatasaray. – ossasuna.
Top treble
Levante r favourite but I checked Boths past. 5 results and ossasuna look a goo bet at nearly 3-1
Goes lovely on a 3 fold
Turkish, it’s no cert but I’d slightly favour Levante as I’ve said. None of Osasuna’s recent wins have been away from home and all season they’ve scored eight goals away – the fewest in La Liga.
WATCH WITH DUTCH EERSTE BTTS THE NGHT
The games are getting postponed
Just on my way to the bookies after lunch and seen this, cheers for the heads up danny boy
no problemo John 3 out of the 7 are gone already I would imagine the other 4 will follow shortly
Hopefully not, the remaining ones are pretty ok except for Sparta Rotterdam, their defence seems tight
Danny, OK will keep an eye out. Any of our man Al’s games fallen?
aye Paul emmen-excelsior his single and included in the double
Danny, OK I’ll let him know he can change.
Had a 6 fold for £20 quid come in for £1046. 2 nights ago. Done a 25 4 fold last night cum in for £200. So I’m hoping my luck carries on with my 3 fold for tonight. In football anything can happen
galatasaray and spurs double.2/1
also like look of dembele score anytime 5/1 nice.
thanks Mr Fixit – welldone for yesterday
do you fancy spurs tonight?
Booboo, I’ve tipped them but I won’t be betting big. It’s one of those games where a draw wouldn’t be a surprise.
turkish course u did just like i won 300000 over the weekend wow we both won big hehehe
Am i missing something ? why is it not realistic that he actually hit a £20 6 fold that paid out to this sum ?

Gunner, like Milesey I don’t see why he didn’t win a £20 sixfold.
congrats Turkish – good winning
Paul just looking at some first Goalscorer prices for the Celtic game on Wed against MotherwellI know Wanyama had gone off the boil a bit but on the other hand it could be argued he is due a goal. Some of the price differences are huge:
Wanyama is 14/1 with Betfred which is a decent price while others are offering as short as 15/2 and 8/1.
Ledley is also 18/1 which in my opinion is too big of a price, he is as short as 10/1 with Paddy Power and 11/1 with William Hill etc.
Chris, on the evidence of the weekend you might be better sticking with Ledley. I see he was stand-in captain and Lennon’s come out and said he’s love him to sign a new deal. Wanyama came on against Dundee as you know and was played in defence. I’d imagine Lennon will put out his strongest side for this one so we’ll see but you’re the man for Celtic scorers – I seem to do OK with other clubs like yesterday when I had five up but wrong with Celtic.
Did you have a look at the Monaco game Paul?
Bryan, I only looked at top-flight games today. Might take a gander.
Monaco 6 out of 13 draws at home
Lens 6 out of 12 draws away
DRAW
Milesey
Milesey, I won’t argue with you then.
Not a game for me but draw at 3/1 is a nice price rather then taking Monaco win at the short price.
Milesey
Over the course of the season their home form hasn’t been great but overall their recent form has been good and they look as if they’re really pushing on in their bid to gain promotion. 8/11 seems a bit slim but lets see how the price develops towards kick-off.
Milesey, I’m off to walk the dog and see if I can spot a man from Uganda.
If you look through previous results, alot of 2’s in there for both teams, and MONACO 2 – 2 LENS, @22 could be a nice way to go on this match.

Lay Under 2.5 goals in Monaco v Lens @ 1.95
Goodluck today with all your selections ;)
Milesey
Chris my one fear for the game is it’s away so maybe the 1st goal might come from the home side, then again i’m not all that familiar with Celtic these days so i could be wrong :-)
John, there is that possibility if Celtic don’t play a full team but Motherwell have now lost two in a row without scoring.

DANNY LIKE THE LOOK OF THE TURKISH DOUBLE,JUST PUT A TENNER ON IT.
hope it comes up m8 even with all the match fixing scandals going around Turkey it should be a pretty straight forward double to get up surely they wouldnt want to get caught fixing after a big investigation has takin place
Danny just watched the first half of the erciyeespor and its hard to tell which teams top of the league.Hope they get a bollocking at half time 1
1-0 scrappy goal
just saw your comments bud The half time talk must have worked long as they score and win it could be an own goal for all you care sometimes wonder in lower leagues when you watch them you think how the hell are they top of there league
Galatasaray losing 1-0
if this bets gonna pay ,its gonna be earned
Erci 2-0 all over
hope gala get the same half time bollocking !
1 thing going for Galatasaray is that orduspor cant win away from home out of the 11 theve played they have lost 4 and drew 7
BLOODY HELL DANNY ,had to go out shopping with the wife at half time ,Id given the bet up. what a shock . They must have been given the requested half time bollocking eh!
Nice tipping mate. On a diff note dont back against Munich 1860 ,I watched them beat top of the league away at the weekend and they looked a dangerous side.
Never got to watch the Celtic game Paul as was out and about. Think I’ll stick with Ledley again at 18/1. Huge price. Ledley to score at anytime is also good value @ 13/2 compared to next best price of 9/2. He is as short as 3/1 elsewhere.
I suspect McFadden will get the nod on Wednesday. He’ll be desperate to impress. It’ll be interesting to see how he does because we’ve saw so little of him in recent times.
Think I will go for the same stakes too. £40 First goal @ 18/1 and £60 anytime @ 13/2.
If Ledley scores first bet returns £1210
If Ledley scores anytime bet returns £450
Good returns for a £100 stake if any come in. I Think his price will change before Wed, especially after banging in two goals on Sunday.
Chris, I might go with Ledley and Wanyama if the latter starts.
Mr F- am I missing something- where has the Super Single weekend thingy gone to???.. I wanted to check if anyone one else picked Notts County.
LC, scroll down to the bottom of the main page and if you click on link 3 of 283 you will find it. i went huntin for the Betway treble thread and found it there
Lord Clegg, Super Single post us still there on page 3. It’s sitting quite far down because of the posts we’ve put up since.
Gunner. Y would I lie about winning a £1000. It’s not life changing money is it it’s just a money to play u sado
Paul I’m looking for an online bookmaker too open an account with. Wot ones would u recommend too look at. Thanks in advance
Mr H, I’d recommend having three or four but make sure you can manage. Check for promotional offers and the markets they do, ease of use etc. And of course odds value are important. There’s no doubt bet365 are good and offer a massive variety of markets. But I’ve got accounts at various bookies and tend to check betrescue for best price or oddschecker if it’s an accer then try to go with whoever is top odds.
If it is horses you are betting Mr H go for Paddy Power as if you bet with them and the odds increase by the time the race goes off they will guarantee the best odds.
They do not give the best footy odds though, I find Coral are best for this. PP are the worst for BTTS always!!
But BETFAIR is probably the best overall but limited offers for new accounts……
PersonallY H i like Bet365 or Betfair for most of my betting.
But all Bookies have good Stuff open accounts that are offering you free bets and incentives etc etc.
Mr H,
Go to oddschecker, find out which bookmaker is offering the best odds for your particular bet and then open an account with that bookmaker.
If you absolutely have to choose just one bookmaker, for whatever reason, then i’d go for Bet365. They have loads of markets and withdrawals are very quick.
try Pinnacle Sports they are the self proclaimed best online sports betting website who offer the best odds
Super single of the day Sparta Rotterdam -2 in the crazy Dutch Jupiler League. 5/1 at William Hill and Paddy Power. Sparta have won their last 3 games 4-1, 6-1 and 3-0 and sit top of the league. Surely worth a punt?

i had huge money on spurs win
udinese won last 4 at home including inter and fiorentina and napoli not won in last 4 games. 2/1 seems overpriced for udinese, or 6/5 DNB. hoping udinese and spurs an early penalty for ma longshot treble as think flocari will get on the score sheet at least once hopefully 2. does anyone know if bale will be on spurs pens tonight or will it be adebayor??? mauri takes lazio pens but klose still not back for lazio a dont think even tho bet365 have him priced up as favourite
Gone for single on West Ham more booking points even money at sky bet.
Fancy spurs 3-1 and bale to score first .. Some intrest
Shocking from Galatasaray but at least it was an og so fgs still has a chance.
press comment change 2 flash score 0-2 what are they doing
Is anyone going to lump on gala? I watched the last ten mins and they were poor. But they have such a strong team 5 to 1 … ??

Backed gala at 9 8 traded out at 1.1
I think even milesey would be proud of that one :-)
haha, yes that’s very nice ;) was that the half time price 9.8 ?
Milesey
Peter, well done mate. I don’t like backing teams inrunning when I’m not watching the game but I’ve got Galatasaray on an accer and had Yilmaz to score too.
Was gonna go spurs straight win but decided to split my stake and go spurs by 1 goal @ 3/1 and by 2 goals @ 11/2.
Judging by comments we’re all investing in spurs, hope they don’t let us down!
Cant see Spurs winning this one. Im gonna go a 1-1 draw
hehe, no they were 6.0 at half time, so i made some dinner and stuck it on around 58mins in at 9.8, they scored about 30 secs after i put the bet on ! thats very rare usually the other way round :)
I know everyone keeps going on about Bale tonight but what about Mr.Carrol …. any thoughts ?
That’s very nice, take it that’s the highest they got to then ? i can only see what a normal punter see’s when at home, so limited resources etc…. Normally when games, races are finished you can see exactly where it was at it’s highest and lowest etc… and how much is staked on at that time, can make very interesting reading sometimes seeing just when people have hit horses and teams in running.
Milesey
Peter, Carroll’s worth a look if you don’t think Spurs will win.
shoved a fiver on galatasaray at 5/1 looking good
Fiver on William Hill’s headline offer of Spurs to win with Bale to score anytime 3/1. Stuck a fiver on it for £20 return
Got a free fiver bet on skybet so stuck it on over 2.5 for the Eerste Divisie Games. pays £20 back for the four games, looks like one of thems gonna chuck a spanner in the works though. Also done trixie of first goal scorers (Martins, Bale, Floccari), £2.50 acc. on

Guest of Honour touched 1.1 in the race, while the winner was 11’s on the off, and hit 22’s in the run.
Milesey
4-2 the -1 bets in lol
Wow that is interesting , i should have placed a lay to be matched in play at 1.2. Next time maybe i will :)
But it’s all very easy after the event :)
gone for 1-1 spurs game surely a close matched London derby …
Yes bale never in doubt!!!
Bale just can’t stop scoring. Unbelievable really.
Guy, I did a small Trixie today – Bale, Floccari, Wanyama.

So much for my super single of Sparta -2… Getting humped 5-1 at home… That’s why it’s the crazy Jupiler league. Any team is capable of hammering the other. 3 5-1 results outta 4 games. Over 5.5 was the way to go!!!
Bingo, one always seems to be a low scorer so it’s spotting it that counts.
Sparta had a shocker…

You know what MR F, i really fancy Real Madrid to qualify tomorrow, at it’s a nice price on betfair at the moment, Barca are leaky at the moment, and no way will they shut Real out, 2-0 against milan, down 1-0 at the weekend. Real have a fully fit team again, so lots of options for Mourinho and these are the games he loves, wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a high scoring draw that will see madrid go through.
so my tip is REAL MADRID TO QUALIFY @3.05
Milesey
MIlesey, does 2-2 put Real through?
The 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Bernabeu typified just how even these encounters have become in recent seasons in what is arguably the greatest club rivalry in world football.
The only notable differences from other recent Clasicos was the lack of goals in general and, the identity of Madrid’s scorer, 19-year-old defender Raphael Varane drafted in to cover for defensive injuries, who capped a brilliant performance with the equaliser.
By securing an away goal, it’s possible to say that Tito Vilanova’s side do in fact hold a slender advantage, though the regularity with which both teams score against each other both home and away serves to dispel this theory slightly.
In the four meetings this season, the sides have both scored seven and conceded seven against each other, highlighting beautifully the equilibrium which has characterised the Jose Mourinho versus Barcelona clashes of recent campaigns.
Both sides bring exactly the same form of three wins, a loss and two draws for their last six games in all competitions too, though encouragingly for Madridistas they’ve actually only lost once inside 90 minutes in their last four visits to the Camp Nou.
At this stage last season, a 2-2 home draw was enough to see Barcelona progress to the semi-finals after a 2-1 win in the capital and another draw appears to be the best bet here.
Following the pattern of the nine goal-filled Clasicos preceding the 1-1 first-leg draw – every one produced over 2.5 goals – Madrid should be capable of notching a couple as they did in the league fixture at the Camp Nou which ended in a 2-2 draw. In fact, six out of the last seven clashes have witnessed one side or another scoring exactly two goals, including a pair of 2-2 draws.
Back Real Madrid to qualify @ 3.05
Back the 2-2 draw @ 15.0
Milesey ( BETFAIR )
Milesey, 2-2 is the Bonkers Bet in tomorrow’s Record so hopefully we’ve got that right.
Milesey, always one moaner. Decent night all round but it’s rarely perfect. Bale and Spurs win must have hurt the bookies.
Go on Spurs! Had Spurs 2 win and most goals in the 2nd half, didn’t look great after 2 goals in the 1st half. Must say, there’s something about Gareth Bale that I don’t like but he’s a fair player. And I’m pleased for AVB,proving a few people wrong after not getting a fair crack of the whip at Chelsea
That’s another nice £566 win for me tonight I won 3 days In a row. I did tip today’s best 3 fold did anyone do it aswel coz if ya did I’m happy for ya xx Turkish xx
Nothing sweeter than a late winner and what a cracker it was.
Nice treble tonight Turkish. Spurs and Galatasaray coming from behind to win and Osasuna winning 2-0. Also good shout with Bale fg and Lazio -1 Mr F. Good start to the week. Wish I’d followed instead of going wi Sparta… Still canny believe they got horsed 5-1…
glad it came up for you mate pitty u didnt add the treble aswell would have made for a nice 5 fold but a wins a win no doubt
I know what you mean with 1860 Munich they are more dangerous away from home but the reason they wont go up this season is they dont have the killer instinct at home to finish teams of
Nice tipping fae Milesey boy as well. 1st post on the thread and all his tips stoated. Turkish what you going for tomorrow?
Cheers mate, just hope people were on them, for that’s what it’s all about, getting the WINNERS in ;) ;)

ANYONE GOT ANY VIEWS ON AUXERRE AT SEDAN TOMORROW. THERE IN GREAT FORM AND SEDAN HAVE ONLY WON 3 OUT OF 25 AND AUXERRE ARE 8/5. LOOKS A GOOD PRICE
Fathead, been concentrating on Scottish and English leagues and El Clasico.
FATHEAD that is a great spot, AUXERRE are top of the form table for the past 5 matches in ligue 2, and are on a really nice run, also over 2.5 goals in this match looks very decent, but relying on AUXERRE to net 3 times, for SEDAN are a very low scoring team, last 5 games not won a game, lost 3 , 2 draws, have only netted 2 times while letting in 8. AUXERRE on the other hand have banged in 14 goals in their last 5 games.
ODDS ON BET365
SEDAN 17/10 V AUXERRE 17/10
Away win all day long for me, and AUXERRE AT 17/10 is one not to missed out on.
Milesey
There’s always tomorrow Aray B… I had them -2 and it was looking good after 6 mins… Also had them on another line ht/ft!!! I should know never put the same team on 2 different lines. I thought they were a stick on… Crazy Jupiler League
Fathead I think Auxerre look a nice price at 8/5. Sedan have only taken 8 points from a possible 36 at home this season, but they’ve now drawn their last 3 home games…
Drawn the last one, lost before that to Dijon, and 2 draws at home before that game ? Maybe i’m wrong it is getting late and off in a bit, but i’m sure i saw that somewhere earlier.
Milesey
Sedan have won 1 game at home all season, 12 games, 13 goals, let in 19. AUXERRE win for me, i’d like to think 3-0, 3-1 AUXERRE, so maybe over 2.5 goals, but as i say you will be relying on AUXERRE to net you these, for Sedan don’t score alot.
Milesey
A HOME WIN ?
So you think SEDAN will win ?
Sedan V Auxerre
You must be tired, but now you have just jinxed it ;) ;)
Milesey
OK, you know what I mean. I’ll edit my comment and delete yours and jinx will be removed. And yes I’m tired. It’s midnight and I’ve been at it solid at the Record for seven hours – and one more to go.

Nike Boys, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, fresh from their first round defeats at the WGC Accenture Match Play, are first and second in the betting. Currently ranked one and two in the world, the pair finished 1-2 in this event twelve months ago but at the prices, neither makes any appeal this time around.
Given his proximity to the venue, it was surprising that Tiger waited until last year to make his debut – perhaps he didn’t fancy it much, or hadn’t play well here in practice? Anyway, if he turns up in the mood he was at Torrey Pines he may get into the shake-up again this year but he’s plenty short enough to do so. He was never actually really involved last year and owed his tied 2nd to a final round 62 from off the pace.
Rory’s at least in double-figures but considering he’s only played three rounds of golf with his new clubs this year, it would take a very brave person to back him to defend.
Third best is Charl Schwartzel who makes his third appearance in the event. On debut two years ago, he started fast but finished poorly, and then last year he started slowly but finished fast. He has a decent record in Florida and is in great form, maybe he can start well and finish well this year and if he does, he’ll be a formidable opponent.
Honda Classic Pre-Event Selections:

Branden Grace @ 110.0
