FEB 23: BETWAY ENHANCED TOP TREBLE

SAINTS are sinners when they're supposed to be winners as far as I'm concerned.

For the second week in a row St Mirren beat my top treble – this time by losing 1-0 at home to Hibs.

My other picks, Crystal Palace and Yeovil, won well and you won't see St Mirren featured here for a while.

Another team I've been on regularly are Watford and I see no reason to desert Gianfranco Zola's men at home to Derby.

Watford have class acts on loan from Italy and Spain and are making a real push for promotion. They have won five out of seven with their only defeat coming when Zola rested stars such as Matej Vydra at Bristol City.

There's no chance of doing that at home and having netted 10 goals in four games you have to fancy Watford to overpower a Derby side with just one win in seven.

I'm staying in the Championship for my next pick and it's Peterborough who notched an incredible 5-1 win at Millwall in midweek.

Darren Ferguson's side are off the bottom and looking up after a four-game unbeaten run that includes a victory over Leicester at London Road and draw with on-form Hull.

Since the sale of striker George Boyd to Nottm Forest fell through on deadline day the club has had a lift and should beat a Birmingham outfit who are finding goals hard to come by.

They drew 0-0 at Sheffield Wednesday in midweek but that was an improvement on their previous match when they crashed 4-0 at home to Watford.

Most teams score at Peterborough but I don't think Brum have the firepower to match their hosts.

Complete the treble with our old friends Yeovil. They've won eight in a row in League One and show no signs of slipping up.

Yeovil, with no one able to stop Paddy Madden who has netted in six consecutive matches, head for a Doncaster outfit struggling under new boss Brian Flynn even though they remain in the play-off places.

Rovers have picked up just two points from four games and are desperately short of players. Flynn is being forced to go with youth and has signed England Under-19 captain John Lundstram on loan from Everton to add bite to the midfield.

But it's a bad time to face Yeovil and Gary Johnson's men should add another three points to their impressive tally.
