BRENTFORD booked their place in the Championship Play-Off final with a 3-1 win over Swansea in a fitting finale to football at Griffin Park.
The Bees raced in to a two-goal lead before adding a third to effectively kill the tie before Swansea pulled one back to make things interesting for the last 15 minutes but Brentford hung on and will play either Cardiff or Fulham at Wembley on Tuesday.
Fulham are in the driving seat in that one having won 2-0 in Wales and are 1/33 to qualify. SlipsTips has manged to uncover a couple of angles in the game including one that relies on the fact that Cardiff need to go chasing the game. Read his Fulham v Cardiff City preview here.

Adelaide United v Perth Glory (A-League)
Tonight we have Adelaide and Perth facing off in Parramatta, in which both sides are trying to stay in the top 6 for a finals position. Adelaide are missing a host of players through injury, with Mileusnic and Toure as the most recent absences. In their two games since the season resumed they have played scrappy low scoring games, with a win and a draw under their belts.
Perth have only Ikonomidis and Castro missing, but looked dodgy in their last game. Prior to that, they squeaked out a 1-0 win over the awful Mariners.

Australian A league.
Regulars will know my love for the A league and while it was goals that originally drew me to the competition, like any other league you need to know when to diversify because every game can’t just see btts/o2.5 and o3.5 every week. Earlier on in the season this was particularly the case, the goals definitely dried up a touch and there was a few moans that it was “a shocking League” and “amateur hour at the zoo” etc. It’s like any other league- you’ll get games that are absolute piles of mince, and you’ll get absolute rip snorters (look at today’s 5-3) my advice is to pay attention to trends and patterns and follow them instead of just sticking to one type of bet. As I’ve mentioned a couple of times recently right now the trend is corners. (Although goals haven’t been too shabby either) There’s been 11 games since the restart 9/11 have seen both teams 4+ corners land (the other 2 had 6-3 and 4-3) 7/11 have seen both teams get 5+ and 5/11 games have seen 6+ each. the prices have been around 4/5, 2/1 and 9/2 for these, so offer not bad value and I’ve been staking them 2pts/1pt/0.5pts, that way if only 4+ each lands at 4/5 your in profit. As you can see from the stats, it’s been fairly profitable so far. This brings me to tomorrows match. Both sides have something to play for so will be giving it their all, the nix will be looking for 2nd spot which gets them into the semi final playoff and the wanderers will be looking for the points to keep their wafer thin playoff hopes alive. As I’ve said corners should be on the cards, but goals looks good too, especially both teams to net. The wanderers have managed 2 clean sheets all season, both in the derby against Sydney, and the nix should take advantage of that with their firepower. On the road this season the nix have only managed 1 clean sheet and encouragingly both sides have netted in their 3 games since restart. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the New Zealand side take the points with both sides netting. I wouldn’t put anyone off wellington win/o2.5 mgs or wellington win btts, personally I’ll be on btts/over 2.5.
Another feature of wellingtons games has been penalties- there’s been 4 in the 3 games. Long time followers of the site will know I used to advocate these quite a lot in this league especially pre VAR and the first year of it. It’s settled down the last 18 months or so but with no VAR in the tensing league games it’s worth taking a look at. I split a point up and go for all 4 outcomes rather than just backing there to be a pen taken. Skybet are offering just 5/4 for one to be taking whereas if you split the stake you’ll get up to 18/1 for one to be missed. These are speculative obviously and should just be treated as “interest” bets.
