IT'S tempting to go with big guns Chelsea and Liverpool on Sunday – but there is a case for leaving them alone.
That's the difficulty of Premier League betting these days where increasingly most sides can beat any of the others.
Chelsea travel to Everton and Liverpool head for QPR and I'm tempted by two aways even though neither is a given.
There is no doubt Chelsea have steadied the ship under Rafael Benitez and look ready to kick on after four successive wins.
A trip to Goodison is one of the toughest of the season but the Blues won't need to worry about the physical presence of Marouane Fellaini.
Everton remain unbeaten at home and bookies are finding it difficult to separate the pair but I'm willing to take a chance on BetVictor's 8-5 offer on a Chelsea success.
Plenty of people will make the case for a draw anyone who wants to sit on the fence can back two top sides at 23-10 with bet365 to cancel each other out.
Fernando Torres’s Liverpool past will ensure he is the target for the boo boys and he is 13-2 at BetVictor to score first. On current form it's he or Juan Mata at 8-1 with Paddy Power and BetVictor.
Torres is 9-5 at Paddy Power net at any time while Mata is 11-4 at Coral.
Liverpool were really poor last time out as they crashed 3-1 at Stoke and will need a huge improvement at relegation-haunted QPR.
Harry Redknapp’s side have suffered back-to-back defeats and will need a miracle to escape the drop.
Liverpool are the better side but I don't know if 1-1(various) is big enough to back them at Loftus Road.
QPR are hardly worth a look at 3-1 with Skybet having won just once all season while the draw pays 14-5 with BetVictor.
Liverpool have conceded on their last five trips to London while QPR don't keep man clean sheets so consider both teams to score at 4-5 with the likes of William Hill and bet365.
The one game in the SPL sees inconsistent Dundee United entertain a battling St Mirren side.
On Boxing Day the Buddies did well to draw 2-2 at Inverness and they'll need to be at their best against an Arabs outfit who'd be doing better if they could shore things up at the back.
United's last two homes games have been draws – 1-1 against Dundee United and 4-4 with Inverness after leading 3-0 inside 10 minutes.
So boss Peter Houston will be desperate for them to go one better and I reckon they can edge the victory. United are 1-1 at William Hill and I fancy both teams to score at 8-11 with Betfred and Stan James.
Skipper Jon Daly is United's best bet for a goal and is 6-4 at boylesports to net at any time while Saints top scorer Steven Thompson is 5-2 with Skybet.
Recommendations

Going with Mata to score first at Goodison.
Chelsea to win, QPR/Liverpool to draw.
If I were to pick scores, it would be Everton 0-2 Chelsea and QPR 1-1 Liverpool.
Chelsea won’t win at goodison Everton double chance is the way to go
Mat, it’s a game that could go either way but it’s silly to say “Chelsea won’t win”. They might win, they might not, but you can’t rule it out.
Mata and gerrard wincast double. 9to2 both at betfred!
Chelsea to win 2-1 or 3-1.
Am on £20 Torres anytime Chelsea win at 4s, and £20 Suarez anytime Liverpool win. £20 straight pool Chelsea double and £10 on the wincast double and prob stick a few quid on the defenders to score first close matches take a set piece to break up. Chelsea great bet!
Cant help but think the chelsea game will end 1-0 either way or 0-0 – over 1.5 to much of a risk? what do u think? cheers
Sorry should say 1-0 or 1-1
I’m not touching Liverpool but I fancy Chelsea at 6/4. Torres and Chelsea at 4/1 with Hills is also appealing. That’s my bets for today. Good luck everyone!
Just put £20 EW Torres FGS at 7/1 with willy hill!
am also trying
torres 1st goal score @ 100 units
suares 1st goal score @ 100 units
dundee utd win @ 20 units

Jeff, I said earlier Serie B isn’t a league I know much about. I need to keep up to date with Serie A and other major leagues so don’t have time to look at lower levels outside the UK.
thanks for the info man. im new here dnt knw much about the rules :p
chillax
Gone for my gut and went for
Chelsea/qpr double
Torres/Suarez/daly anytime treble
Torres/Suarez 1st scorer dbl
And Everton /qpr /Dundee utd Btts treble
Good luck all
I regret backing Torres! Distan has got him in his pocket!
jumping ahead to new years day
Crystal palace at home to Wolves, 10/11 with BET365
Wolves lost 0 2 to Ipswich yesterday and the report says they were shockin and did not have a shot on target, and Ipswich are a mid table team
Palace were 21/20 earlier this mornin
QPR double chance for me @ 5/6…steal as I cant see Liverpool winning (only my opinion)
also got Dundee Utd @ 10/11 and Everton game btts @ 4/6 (already up)
Torres a big let down
Livorno not doing good
Torres must be one of the worst strikers/finishers in the bpl, embarrassing to watch him on the ball
got my top treble well done suarez 1st goal scorer
Was on livorno too in double wi sassulo at 6/4 but stuck £20 on double chance at 13/8 when they went 2-1 down. Had £10 suarez 1st gl at 4/1 wi PP and double the odds cos he scored again so no bad day so far, went fiver over 5 5 gls and fiver on a gl in 1st 10 mins of 2nd half, may do single on verona or wait to get some in play action
Bet a lot of guys have btts to score today in the 3 games. So hope they score. But they have no chance to win the game!
£10 on verona single at evens and if they win will have bet on darts tonight
QPR goal would be nice but cant see it.
Mr fix it did you get my email?
Just thinking of BTTS bets, not much money to be made unless you do big accumulators for reasonably big stakes, alot of guys on here seem to know their stuff, new years resolution….listen more :-)
I don’t tend to go for big accumulators, always 1 that lets you down you can guarantee it. Not really into BTTS either for that reason, you have to put on 5 / 6 teams and for a tenner that gets you around £150 – £200.
I like to stick to singles, doubles and the odd treble on the football, but then i bet big too.
Nice double today Chelsea and liverpool, didn’t touch anything else though.
My mate had a lovely double of Fat Frank and suarez, 2 goals or more.
Just stick to doing Doubles, whatever you can afford and then play with winnings…. put a tenner on a double, get £40 back, put that on an evens single etc….. easier way of going forward then big accumulators !
Big accumulators aren’t for the hardcore gamblers, they don’t even touch them, i know people that won’t even touch a treble, just stick on doubles all the time, and if you look through the fixtures at weekends, you always find at least 2 great evens shouts to put on.
Thot Chelsea pool was good double, £20 paid £10″ but if Torres scored woulda had Torres Chelsea n Suarez Liverpool. Still profit!! Keep FRANK LAMPARD!!
Would never have thought of putting on a Lampard double, put a small stakes bet on Chelsea to score 3 at half time, 6/1 and lost by 1 goal
I meant i put the bet on at half time for them to get 3….lol
I really fancy an MVG 6-0 against wade tonight @17/2, and Taylor is going to beat Barney, Barney always plays scared everytime he plays Taylor.
Taylor 6-3 @5/1
Taylor 6-4 @5/1
Worth abit on both of them !
Gonna be another great night of darts !!
New years day i’m on:
CARDIFF
HULL
Double
—————–
And…….. will wait on the horses till new years day morning to see whats on and off ! More heavy rain tomorrow, so expect alot of meetings to go, and alot of the football in the lower leagues and divisions 1 / 2.

Flyboivince, there’s no email from you. Try sending to mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk
Did you get my email with my bet365 username for my free £10 ?
Milesey, admin deal with those so hopefully they have it.
What horse meetings did you do today ?
I didn’t do any, just a double on the football, and didn’t watch either game, just got score updates while out shopping with the missus.
Thank god i have a nice night to have a few jd’s and watch the darts.

I thought that was on a parlay bet !
Parlays are a very popular kind of bet – they have a good potential for big payoffs compared to the size of the wager, and they are quite a simple form of bet.
To place a parlay, you bet on two or more teams to win their games – all of the teams must win, or at least tie, for you to win the bet. If one of the teams loses, then the bet is lost.
There are two different kinds of parlay. You can wager against the point spread, or against the money line. When wagering against the spread, the payoff is fixed, with the payout increasing the more teams you bet on. The payoff can range from 13-5 on a 2 team parlay to 600-1 on a 10 team parlay. This means that if you bet on two teams, you can win $13 for each $5 you bet. If you bet on 10 teams and win, then you will get $600 for every $1 you had wagered.
Bets against the money line do not use fixed odds, instead your overall payoff is calculated based on the odds of each team. This is because a spread assumes a 50-50 chance on each team, while money line bets just require the team to win or lose – without points being taken into consideration.
A money line parlay will, in simple terms, take the amount of your bet and place it on one team, then re-calculate your bet for the next team, until the bet has been placed on all of the teams. This can often work out better in terms of payoff than a points spread parlay, especially if one of the teams is not favoured to win.
Point spread parlays are usually not worth betting on, as they offer a weaker payout than the true odds for the parlay. Your chances of winning a three or more team parley are quite low, and the payoff does not reflect this. The 600-1 payout on a ten team parlay may sound attractive, but your real chances of winning are more like 1000-1.
You may get better payouts on a money line parley, and it is worth running the numbers before betting to find out, but in general, a straight bet is the best idea. It only takes one loss to lose an entire parley bet – if you lose a straight up bet then all you have lost is the wager for that game – you have not, in the process, lost any other wagers you made at the same time.
PARLAY PUSH
In the event that any part of the parlay bet is voided or is a push (as in the example below), the parlay bet will still stand and any winning selections will be carried forward to the remaining selections, as in the case of the following Treble:
•Bet 1: Chelsea (-0.5) – Chelsea win.
•Bet 2: Manchester United (-1) – Manchester United win 1-0.
•Bet 3: Arsenal (-0.5) – Arsenal win.
As Manchester United only win 1-0 with a (-1) Asian Handicap, that part of the parlay bet is a push. Therefore, the “Chelsea win” bet is carried forward to the “Arsenal win” bet and the parlay bet becomes a winning Double on Chelsea and Arsenal instead of the initial parlay bet of a Treble. The push part of the bet is calculated by multiplying the carried over stake by 1.

A quinella is commonly used in horseracing and is similar to an exacta or perfecta, in that the punter must select the winning two horses. The difference is that the winning two horses can be in any order.
*Do you do these ? very profitable on races where there are 2 good horses but your not too sure in what order they will finish in !
