THE self proclaimed “Special One” will be presented with an opportunity to make Tottenham London's number one at Christmas when facing former club Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
Jose Mourinho has sprinkled his magic on Spurs by steering his new side to four league wins out of five since his appointment and another success this weekend would fire Tottenham into the top-four at Chelsea's expense.
The Lilywhites were languishing in 14th place in the Premier League table prior to the Portuguese checking in at north London and Mourinho' s immediate impact and influence was evident last time out against Wolves when Spurs squeezed out a 2-1 success in a classic Mourinho-style win.
Of course this clash has a noticeable sub-plot with Frank Lampard – a stalwart during Mourinho's two trophy-laden spells in the Stamford Bridge dugout – now leading the west London club. 
The Blues enjoyed an encouraging start to the Lampard era, however, Chelsea have struggled for results in recent weeks.
Chelsea were beaten in their own backyard last weekend – a game in which I successfully backed Bournemouth on the asian handicap – and their latest setback now means that Lampard's young guns have lost four of their last five top-flight fixtures.

Chelsea's dip in form can be attributed to their defensive vulnerability – the Blues have failed to register a Premier League clean sheet on the road this season and such fragility does not bode well ahead of showdown with free-scoring Spurs.
Mourinho's seven games in the hot seat have produced 31 goals – 12 of that total have been scored by Spurs in three outings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – and I fancy the hosts to add to that tally on Sunday given their firepower and Chelsea's well-documented defensive deficiencies.
In considering who may get on the scoresheet, I can't help but be attracted to the 13/10 (Ladbrokes) on offer for Harry Kane to hit the back of the net against a Chelsea side who have only managed to secure one shutout in their last 12 attempts.
In Kane, Mourinho possesses one of the most potent strikers on the planet -the Tottenahm talisman has scored 15 goals in 21 appearances this season – and I suspect his red-hot season could continue when coming-up against Chelsea's ropey rearguard.
Indeed, Lampard himself has a wealth of attacking talent to turn towards and that is reflected in the 1/2 (Ladbrokes) that is available for both teams to score – a bet that has frequently landed in fixtures involving both of these respective rivals this term.
However, I'm going to tap into another recurring theme of Chelsea's season – an angle that I hit the jackpot with at the Mestalla – namely, Chelsea midfielder Jorginho to be shown a card.
The ill-disciplined Italian has already clocked up eight cards this season across all competitions and I like the look of the 19/10 (UniBet) on offer Jorginho's name to be scribbled into card-happy Anthony Taylor's notebook when trying to tame Tottenham's array of attacking talent.
Although there is much to be admired about seeing the Blues attack with plenty of spirit, Chelsea have come up short when locking horns with the heavyweights of the division.
Therefore, given the momentum that Mourinho has generated, coupled with Lampard's leaky defence, I'm going to back in-form Spurs to leapfrog their top four foes and march to victory at 7/5 (UniBet)
