BERINGER (3.35) ran subsequent Cambridgeshire winner Wissahickon to under a length on his previous visit to York last summer (pair six lengths clear) and will relish the prevailing firm ground.
He was a tad unlucky in the Lincoln Handicap when hampered shortly after the start before running on into third behind Group-class Auxerre. Alan King's gelding built on that run when scoring gamely at Newmarket last month.
Keith Dalgleish's What's The Story runs in the same colours of yesterday's runaway scorer Soldier's Minute and his Glasgow owner will be keen to play up his winnings. The five-year-old is a danger along with Escobar at a big price, another right at home on firm ground.
PIPES OF PEACE (5.05) looks a juicy price at 8-1 in the concluding two-mile handicap. His third to Austrian School over 1m 6f at Musselburgh was an excellent effort in better company and I'm more worried about the firm ground than this longer trip. Seamus Durack campaigned Pipes Of Peace with success over middle distances at Kempton through the winter and the ex-Aidan O'Brien gelding could well outclass his field if handling the fiery surface.
At Salisbury, MARSHAL DAN (5.25) must go close in the apprentices' handicap. The four-year-old led over a furlong out at Wolverhampton last month but rather threw it away by hanging under pressure. He has winning form at Newbury on fast ground last summer and Heather Main has booked Marco Botti's apprentice Stefano Cherchi to take off 5lb.
Anyone have thoughts on the 3pm York tomorrow?
Too darn hot nailed on or too short to back for this race ?
I know personally that Frankie loves too darn hot. To the point he was taking her a packet of polos every morning during the off season .
I fancied her for the Guineas. But was reported to be warm in the hock .
Which is basically the knee of the horse. This can cause swelling lameness and ultimately limit the joint range of movement.
In turn this is not a serious problem, I’m sure any lameness will result in a pull out before race. Watch the movement of horse before the off if you’re worried but I’m on.
Great insight , knowledge
Iv backed at slightly less than my big stakes , not a massive fan of limping on horses returning from a comeback. Even if it looks dead on , I’m sure gosden wouldn’t want to damage that potential stud fee. Excited to watch though.
Cheers uncle Pom

2.10 Frisella NAP 11/4
A cracking Dante in prospect today with 2 group 1 winning juveniles, a group 2 winner from AOB yard, a 14L winning Kingman colt, a 9L winner by New Approach and an Australia colt in Almania.
TDH might just be that and I kinda hope he does the business today so the price on Sir Dragonet eases as he will be my Derby horse, but at the odds not for me.
Japan is on the drift this morning but to me is fantastic ew value.
Beautifully bred this trip should be right up his street today and can’t see him out of the places.
Northwest Frontier 18/1 ew 4 places 5.05
C&D winner from just 2lbs higher than today. Would have needed his first run and should be ready to give a good account today.

Fisher green 4-15 Perth 7-2 NB
Happy with these two, left them to sp, 2-1 and 4-1.
Profitable day for a change 😀
Looks like he didnt have his daily packet of polos today then smh 🤦♂️
🤬
Tipping a horse at odds on telling us personel details like that as if they knew something we didnt. I put €50 on feel sick to my stomach
only bet what you can afford to lose especially when blind betting.
I had £100 on the the 2 of them plus humanitarian in the 2.45 Salisbury to make it a treble 🤦♂️
I didnt bet out of my means. I took early retirement i am comfortable for the rest of my days i just usually bet no more thn €20 it just seemed like he knew something we didnt my own fault i admit betting on short price horses is a sure way to lose hibee taight me that
Betting on favourites is always going to be a loser long term!
The bookies won’t let it happen they would go bankrupt.
Book 3 good favourites and see how many win.
Be lucky to get 2 let alone 3 from 3
Bol all
True matey trying to stick with 2nd or 3rd favs for now seem to get more in at bigger odds than. Had bad run with favs last 2 or 3 weeks
Wish i had only £50 on lol i had a monkey on TDH at evens. Luckily i had £200 on bella vita 2,10 so up on day and 3 up on lucky15 waiting on sousa on well done fox for full boat £620. Betting aint for fait hearted dont bet if you cant take the heat ☝️
Do you guys think TDH didnt stay or needed the run?? Tempted to have a go at generous odds for derby
He’s not going to run in the Derby now. 15/8 for the St James Palace looks tasty though.
The rest of the field gave the front pair way too many easy lengths and the time was similar to the previous race so they didn’t go that fast out in front and you’d have to wonder how good that field actually was.
Sir Dragonet wins the Derby for me. Now best priced 11/4 and as low as 2s
