LOOKS like I'm the play-off man this week as Mr Fixit concentrates on teeing off.
I know it's the end of the season but he's taking more holidays than the Queen – and he's paying me less than her corgis get.
But I've got a cunning plan. I'm going to learn to dance then dress like a dog (Chunky's showed me how) and make my millions that way.
In the meantime I've got to earn my keep from the bookies and there weren't any complaints as I picked three out of three on the Huddersfield v MK Dons match. Mr Fixit put up a couple of winners on the comments section and I also liked his text tip that advised taking a goal at the Galpharm in the opening 26 minutes.
Young Mr Rhodes obliged in the 18th minute and his goal must have been an expensive one for the bookies.
There are three big play-off games tonight and I'll start in the SFL with the first leg of a surprise final, Dumbarton v Airdrie Utd. Both were underdogs in the semis but took care of Arbroath and Ayr respectively with fine displays.
Dumbarton beat Arbroath 2-1 at home and that was the result a couple of weeks ago when the sides met in the regular season. I can see the Sons edging to victory again and they are 13-10 with William Hill and bet365 to do so.
Airdrie are a biggest 2-1 at BetVictor and 4-5 with McBookie.com to qualify while Dumbarton are 10-11 at McBookie.com to clinch promotion.
McBookie.com do first scorers on all SFL games and Sons' experienced former SPL striker Craig Dargo is 5-1 favourite and 11-8 to net at any time.
The other SFL play-off final is also one that wasn't predicted by many. Albion Rovers were favourites to see off Elgin as they try to preserve their Second Division status but I reckon they could struggle against Stranraer.
Rovers needed a last-minute goal to see off Elgin 2-1 on aggregate and face a better side in Stranraer who hammered favourites Queen's Park 5-1 over two legs.
The Coatbridge men were accused by Elgin of parking the bus in the first leg which they lost 1-0 but they won't get away with against a Stranraer outfit who netted for fun at home during the season and who boast two quality hitman in the shape of Craig Malcolm and Michael Moore.
So look at Stranraer at 11-10 with McBookie.com to qualify and 6-4 at Betfred to carve out a first-leg lead tonight. Rovers are 15-8 at William Hill to win and 4-6 favourites with McBookie.com to be stay up.
Malcolm is 6-1 to hit the opener but Moore hovering I'd take leading hitman Malcolm to net at 13-8 with McBookie.com
In England, Southend entertain Crewe in the League Two play-off semi-final second leg after losing 1-0 at Gresty Road.
Paul Sturrock's men are likely to battle hard to get back into the tie and I can see them winning by one to force extra time.
Southend are 10-11 at bet365 and BetVictor to win at home and 8-11 at bodog to qualify. Crewe are 5-4 with Paddy Power and bet635 to go through.
We haven't had penalties in the play-offs yet but this one has a chance. Take either side to win on penalties at 11-1 with Skybet.

Paul hope you have better luck than me at the perthshire club last time i played there a Dalmuir/Clydebank pub team got beat was many moons ago,
Dare say Daughter will send a text if they win.
I’am back in spinal unit,
cheers malky
Malky, better luck than you. Perthshire 3, Bankies 5. Strange game, Perthshire tough team but Bankies have quality up front and always looked like scoring. Final against Shotts will be good end to the season.
Paul, can’t sto thinking about the champions league final. I really fancy Bayern Munich especially with the home advantage. Im thinking of Gomez first goal and last goal. Can’t make my mind up what bookies I’m going to put it on in. My friends Boylesports have their usual offer on but I wouldn’t be surprised if Gomez scored two so the double delight with tote may be more appealing. Last Goalscorer will be placed with Paddy Power who will refund all the usual bets if Chelsea lift the trophy.
I’m putting a couple of early bets on for the hearts hibs game.
Under 2.5 goals @ 8/11 with Coral
Time of first goal over 27 mins evs with S James
Craig Beattie anytime scorer 12/5 @ sportingbet
What you think Paul?
Chris, I’ll be having a serious look from tomorrow but obviously Gomez is in my thoughts. Beattie is a doubt so I’ll need to see how that plays out. Skacel is the one I’m looking at.
Another winner tonight. fenerbahce and stranraer. keep up the good tips bhoys
You’re having a good week. Thought Fenerbahce were a stick-on and nice price at about evens.
I kno was just in from work put it on at 17.33.31 to be precise lol
Well done pete! Good treble!
Thank the lord, had 10/1 winner. Stranraer(thanks Scott) went with Crewe +1 at 10/11 and had to irish Gaelic football teams to win. Tipp and Kerry. ThAnks for Stranraer again scott
Cheers mate.think we r all having a good week:) keep up the good tips lads!
£12 Double Dumbarton/Stranraer £65.55 return, Good Wee Night:D Cheers Scott for Stranraer.
David, the boy’s done OK on the play-offs this week. I thought Stranraer were a good bet and I’m glad Scott agreed.
Paul didn’t realise Beattie was a doubt. Think I’ll just leave him out then. Don’t want him to come on as a sub for -5 mins.
Chris, he’s got a tight hamstring but says he hopes to make it but could be like semi-final when he came on at half-time. We’ll get a better idea about Beattie on Friday.
wan oota 3 isny bad super single 1/1 ure job/fun is solid peeps hingin oan a masters tips
Danny, Torquay tips and some foreign singles up later. Asked Scott to do a bit on Torquay but he’s sent me a piece on Turkey so it’s back to the drawing board.

Craig, we can’t really mention other tipsters I’m afraid. Interested to see he’s tipping Osters though. I’m looking at a Djurgarden (v Gefle) and Valerenga (at Honefoss) double.
