THEY think it's all over – it is now.
It’s the final weekend of action in the Irn-Bru Scottish Football Leagues before the end-of-season play-offs and I am determined to end on a high.
And the missus has warned if I don’t get a winning treble up this weekend she will lock me in a room with Mr Fixit as he bores me senseless with boring stories about his beloved Clydebank side!
It’s getting increasingly difficult to pick a successful line with many clubs having given up for the season.
But we kick off in the First Division and look in on champions Ross County and their away clash with already-relegated Queen of the South.
However, County are unstoppable at the moment after going on a 33-game unbeaten league run while Queens are in disarray following the departure of manager Gus MacPherson.
Veteran striker Allan Johnston has since been appointed player-manager at Palmerston but faces a baptism of fire against Derek Adams’ champions.
The Dingwall men are unbeaten against Queens this season and go into this match a massive 44 points ahead of their rivals.
Despite having little to play for except breaking records, I am tipping County to end the season in style with another victory.
Go for a win for the Victoria Park side at 8-11 with BetVictor and William Hill.
We move on to the Second Division and focus on Stenhousemuir’s home clash with Forfar.
Stenny still have a chance of earning a place in the play-offs and go into this match level on points with Airdrie in the battle to win the final sslot.
They will be determined to beat relegation-threatened Forfar and earn their shot at glory and I reckon they can do just that.
Stenny go into this match against a Loons side they have already defeated twice this season and who they are 11 points ahead of in the table.
Take Stenny to pick up all three points at 17-20 with sportingbet.
We finish up in the Third Division and look in on Queen’s Park’s home clash with Elgin.
The Hampden men have already secured their place in the play-offs and there is a slight danger they will have one eye on Wednesday night’s semi-final first leg with Stranraer.
But manager Gardner Speirs will be hoping his men can stay on their three-game winning run to go into the crunch clash with the Blues on a high.
Queen’s thrashed Elgin 6-0 in the last meeting of the sides at Hampden and I am taking them to be victorious once again.
Go for a win for the Spiders at 10-11 with Ladbrokes, William Hill and Coral.
SFL Treble
Ross County
Stenhousemuir
Queen's Park
Pays a biggest £60.50 to a £10 stake at William Hill
Looks like chunky and I will be fasting if these results don’t change.
Nick, tough day in the SFL with so little to play for and the team who need to win, Stenny, are losing to top it all.
