MRF2018 Ipswichv Middlesbrough

Ipswich v Middlesbrough

Skybet Championship. Kick off: 7.45pm. Live on Sky Sports.

THIRD Placed Middlesbrough travel to East Anglia today  to meet Ipswich at Portman Road. The Tractor Boys sit currently in the bottom three in the Championship and tonight face a Tony Pullis's side that is the meanest defence in the League having only conceded 4 goals in the 10 Chamionship games so far.

Ipswich are the only team in the Championship not to have won a game this season and face a tough task at home this evening,

Manager Paul Hurst wants his team to start fast in order to give the home fans something to cheer about from the off while I imagine the Boro will soak up the pressure that will inevitably come. The Ipswich task is made harder with only two Senior strikers available due to injuries– not ideal against a mean defence.

They will also be without Matthew Pennington after his red card at Birmingham last time out, however Hurst may make more changes to try and find a winning formula.

Adam Clayton will be missing for the Boro after 5 yellow cards and former Ipswich man Grant Leadbitter being the likely replacement.Only injury doubt is Britt Assomabalonga who took a knock at Hull last weekend. Tony Pullis has called on his side to be more ruthless in front of goal as he searches for his best combination.

I see this being a tight affair with the Boro coming out on top.
