IT'S beginning to look as if all the pre-season thoughts about Man City and Liverpool are coming true.
Most people fancied City to be unstoppable and it's looking that way – and chances are Liverpool will be their closest challengers although Chelsea have started well.
Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace tonight and should win with plenty of goals scored. As Scott Allot points out on his betbuilder it was 3-3 the last time they met at Selhurst Park on a Monday night.
Another 3-3 would be great entertainment but Liverpool will be looking for the win.
Elsewhere Atletico Madrid will be looking to start their La Liga campaign with three points at Valencia to follow up their midweek Super Cup success.
Athletic Bilbao entertain Leganes and in Italy it's Atalanta at home to promoted Prosinone.
For a treble I'm backing Atalanta to win – they should do so by more than one – Atletico Madrid draw no bet and over 2.5 goals at Crystal Palace v Liverpool.
If you want bigger odds go Atalanta -1, Atletico to win and Liverpool and over 2.5 goals.
Yesterday's Super Single was a goal short at Real Madrid and again I hope anyone on covered with no goals in the last 40 minutes. I wasn't around to offer the advice. The Top Treble was beaten by Marseille losing at Nimes and it wasn't the only Ligue 1 surprise over the weekend.
Overall it looked a decent for goals as opposed to WDW and a really bad one for Man United.
Well done to all the winners and again thanks to everyone who is posting match previews.
Some interesting ones posted for tonight including the return of UHT who was a top contributor a few years back and who knows his stuff.

After yesterdays debacle in Brighton can Liverpool take advantage and put pressure on Man Utd and the rest of the premier league in what is a must win game. The Liverpool of old by that i mean pre Van Djik and Allison this sort of game i wouldn’t of been confident about as Liverpool had that nasty habit of surrendering leads thus dropping points, make no mistake though Liverpool are strong right throughout the team from defense through to attack and i would say have the best attack in the premier league right now or for the people that don’t agree with that are on a par with City’s attack. It has taken time for Jurgen Klopp to build this team since he took over and this is Klopps team now,all the players he has are the ones he wanted and although the team has took a while to build they are ready for challenging for major honours in what has been a long term plan. Now onto the game it is hard to envisage a low scorer in this one you have a fast paced counter attacking side in Palace and ditto Liverpool, also Palace are fearless at home and take so many risks which is great for the fans but not good for the team as they can be exploited by the tenacity of Liverpool’s front three who can and will create chances.I have taken the full goals totals as i do believe both teams will create here which hopefully leads us to a cracker of a Monday night. It’s also worth noting that Klopp will be looking for high scores as goal difference could be crucial come the end of season.correct score 2-4
Best of luck
On the straight win for your boys Mr Macca and also the Win+ O2.5 & the last leg of a healthy accumulator.
Cheering them on tonight.
Rooting for you our lid.
Don’t fancy Spurs then Mr F? Write us off at your peril I say. I mentioned Moura as an antepost for Over 9.5 Premier League goals at 7/2 and he is basically like a new signing. Add in an Erik Lamela with a full pre season behind him plus Toby back in favour and another year of experience plus the WC experience I expect us to have a better season again. Don’t think anyone will catch City though in fairness.
Agree with Macca that tonight will be a goal fest. You can’t see how it won’t? Palace won’t park the bus will they? Think they have big aspirations this year.
Spurs probably top 4 but I’m sticking with what I said before the season started.
Hopefully goals at Palace

Have a good day x
Only concern I have about the game tonight is over the years I’ve always found Monday night PL games are lower-scoring affairs than weekend games.
Remember alex it’s not Man Utd playing lol,Liverpool = goals.
Don’t forget maccathered Liverpool has a good start last year as well look what happened can’t believe after 2 games people are saying it’s between city x pool . Big mistake to rite off utd x Chelsea x Spurs
You can forget Man Utd,even though i hate them they have absolutely no chance of winning a premier league title, not with their squad and to suggest they have a chance is ludicrous.
Absolutely terrible decision to give a penalty maccathered
I have been doing not to bad on my penalty bets recently .– so i am doing something similar tonight. Pen taken at.
Crystal Palace.

Treble boosted to 74/1. Hills
Trixie pays about 137/1.
Morning lads.
Ramirez got the start for Los Angeles as predicted but couldn’t grab a goal in their 2-0 win.
Today I’m in Sweden (not literally) with a double that should be a breeze.
Degerfors host Norrby at home. The visitors are the worst team in the league over their last five road games conceding a hefty 14 goals in the process, scoring 3. Degerfors aren’t the best side in the league but have scored 2+ in five of their 8 home games this season.
Double that up with Varnamo to net at home to Orgryte. The visitors are the favourties but form says different to me. Varanamo anchor th eleague but are unbeaten in 3 and have a goal in 7 of their last 9. Shouldn’t find too much problems scoring against a side with one clean sheet in their last five on the road.

Afternoon gents,
Well done all with big ticks against their bets yesterday – rather than being in the winners enclosure, I was crouched in a corner sucking my thumb and thrashing myself with a birch branch after a bit of a horror-show…onwards.
ATHERTON COLLIERIES VS. COLWYN BAY (1945 KO):
I know Atherton fairly well – it’s a proud Lancashire mining town and one of the only places I know where the locals still wear clogs and make pagan sacrifices on a full moon.
Colywyn Bay I know less so – in fact I know just two things about it: 1. my mate Ste from school works in the Morrisons there and 2. they were one of THE best lower league teams for btts + goals in recent years until their downward spiral into the NL Div One saw me lose touch with their fortunes.
Both sides have started their respective campaigns with a win though; Atherton with a 0-2 away win and Colywn Bay with a 1-0 victory at home whilst both of last season’s H2H’s saw btts and overs trap with 3-1 and 2-1 scorelines.
A look through last season’s fixtures and scorelines show that old habits die hard for the Welsh side and goals are still plentiful in their matches – something reflected in Atherton’s own games and the division in general:
OVER 2.5 MGS…4/6

liverpool win & under 3.5 @ 7/5 – NAP
liverpool & under 3.5
atletico over 1.5 team goals
double pays around 9/2
liverpool aren’t as vaunrable at the back as they once were they seem to be able to manage games much better under klopp
west ham barely got a sniff on goal last weekend and i dont see much changing tonight
i like palace and zaha is a quality act no doubt
but dont think palaces midfields going to be good enough to beat liverpool’s press , liverpool should dominate possession and probably win 2 or 3 nil
the under 3.5 is a lovely price as palace wont give them as much space as west ham
atletico to score 2 has drfited in from 15/8 to nearly 5/4 in the space of a week the bookies are concerned
makes for a nice simple double
I can’t see many Premier league teams keeping Palace out at Selhurst Park.
yea but liverpool aren’t just any team …hodgson is not dull he knows if he sets them out to go toe to toe with liverpool theres only going to be one winner
they held man city to a 0-0 draw at selhurts a few months back and he will be reminding the lads of that
If Palace go a goal down early or vice versa it’s game on,you won’t see many game of Liverpool’s go unders, they are to much attack minded for that,Huddersfield held Man City at the Emptihad last season but conceded 6 yesterday, don’t go by what happened last season as the teams mindset and approach are totally different.

Potentially one of last seasons best teams for goals playing tonight and I completely missed them. Almere open up their new campaign for 18/19 at the AZ Youth. 32 of Almere’s 38 games last season saw BTTS, and thats not counting their playoff games which saw BTTS in 5 of 6. They were the top overs side in the league with the same numbers seeing over 2.5.
Jong AZ were just as good at seeing goals in their games (27 of 38 saw over 2.5) and both ties between the two saw over 4.5 goals scored last season. Obviously a new season may be a different outcome, but you can see why the line is @ 3.5. Worth a dabble @ EVS I feel ??
@jordan – really good shout Sir
C. Palace v Liverpool
Liverpool win
U3.5 goals
+8.5 corners
15/4 boyles
A few differences of opinion on this game but that’s the beauty of it.
I can see this match being very much like last season’s corresponding match with Liverpool dominating possession and Palace being organised at the back and trying to counter.
But I also think both teams have improved since last season’s game. Woy has Palace very well drilled and are quite happy to sit deep and wait for a mistake then pounce.
Liverpool have bought really well and are actually very good defensively since VVD came on board. Thay actually conceded fewer goals than any of the top 6 side if you exclude the first 9 games.
I think it will be a hard fought victory for Liverpool but a victory nonetheless hence the U3.5. There were 10 corners in last season’s game so +8.5 looks capable of landing too

DEPORTIVO CAPIATÁ VS. GENERAL DÍAZ (2200 KO):
It’s hardly been catastrophic for these two and whilst they haven’t put many points on the board, their games have seen a fair few goals – most notably, both sides have managed to net in 4 of their 5 openers since the restart of the campaign.
Similarly, both sides opening 5 league matches have seen both teams scoring in a fairly consistent 80% of games – an outcome that looks even more tempting if you consider both of 2018’s H2H’s ended 1-1.
In fact, given this one might well end in a stalemate, that 1-1 scoreline is interesting as 5 of Diaz’ last 7 matches have all finished 1-1!

Don’t think city have to much to worry about after seeing that game
You don’t think City have to much to worry about??i was well impressed with Liverpool even though they didn’t score a hatful,2 clean sheets is already an improvement-Crystal Palace is a tough place to go for any team it will be interesting to see how City fare when they go there,i was expecting goals from both sides but Liverpool were dominant at the back.
Nothing at all. Kinda like in the Champions League Quarter Final four months ago.
Mac patronising everyone that sided on the opposite to his thoughts and going wrong himself again. You can’t always go about like you’re always right.
A very arrogant individual, he comes across as someone with no social skills. He needs to either grow up or get professional help for his social disorder.
You’ve also got to love how he makes out he’s ‘in the know’ – classic delusional fantasist.

palace gave them a good run for their money but as i said their midfield couldnt cope with liverpools press
the double was a madrid goal short and reminded me why i usually steer clear of atletico madrid games (although they really should have scored the second ) valencia are going to be a tough gig this season
congrats to all winners

Salah not upto match fitness yet
Alex-Arnold 80% back passes
Firmino not in the game
Man city will not be scared of this lot.
I was impressed with Van Dyke though
and Alisson looks a class keeper, cool dude in between the posts.
Liverpool a bit slow getting the ball forward at times, but got lucky in the end.
How was we lucky??explain??thought we dominated the game.
Why should he explain? Is he not allowed an opinion?
Of course he is allowed an opinion, but i would like to know how Liverpool got Lucky.
Cristoff sounds a bit pissed off.
As suspected, Monday night low scoring affair. Find it happens a lot in the PL midweek games.
Palace will feel hard very done by there. Very dubious penalty, admittedly foolish & clumsy by Sako though throwing his leg out. Also red card was dubious barely touched him and retracted his leg.
Don’t think Hodgeson took too kindly to Klopps celebrating in front of him for the first goal either. Personally I don’t think it’s professional doing it in front of the Manager either, never liked it. No jokes about ‘CLASS’ though please ?
Strong professional performance imo, winning games ugly something that Liverpool of the past didn’t do,so an improvement imo.
A win’s a win, job done from Liverpool’s perspective.
Forgot to mention, Benteke further proving to the world just how awful he is… should never play for Palace again.
I like Benteke he’s a good proffesional but just lacks confidence,we know what he’s capable of when he’s on form.
How can that red card be dubious are you for real,it was red all day long alex he was through on goal lol.
He was through on goal but I’ve watched the replays and you can see the contact is absolutely minimal – Wan Bissaka retracts his leg back in, it was only a light hand on the back, not even a push. In real time looked worse than it was.. it’s a harsh red on reflection though.
Each entitled to our opinions ?
Penalty looked soft but I can’t see an argument against the red.
When you are running that fast it doesn’t take much to topple you over. Red card was deserved.
No joy on the goals front in the Liverpool game apologies if anyone followed.Happy with the result though and the performance even though it wasn’t the best.If City were watching they will be worried.
They won’t be worried one bit!
Just watched the second half and that was a tough Palace side. Bogey ground for Liverpool. Palace hadn’t lost since March! If we can keep away from key injuries then I can see us making the top two. Problem is City look better than last year and have so many quality players in reserve. Need City to lose some defenders. They are not so great in that department.
2-1 on ’43 this time ?
