GERMANY'S escape to victory on Saturday night completed a good day for punters – and maybe Toni Kroos' strike was the moment the World Cup came alive.
The defending champions were on the ropes until he struck with a missile that earned an unlikely win against Sweden and a World Cup reprieve.
At half-time they were out and 16-1 to pick up the trophy, going into injury time they were still up against but now in their final game against South Korea they must match Sweden's result versus Mexico as long as it's not a defeat that allows the Koreans to squeeze through.
Germany are now back down to 7-1 with most firms as Spain and Brazil fight for favouritism. Belgium are just ahead of France in the betting while England are sixth favourites at 12-1 with McBookie ahead of Croatia at 15-1 and Portugal at 20s.
Earlier the Belgians had routed Tunisia 5-2 and Mexico edged out South Korea 2-1 so it was a day when all three favourites won and all six sides scored and there haven't been many like it in Russia. There were also two more penalties for those backers.
My Super Single of Romelu Lukaku to score landed as did the double of Belgium and Mexico. The three best bets featured on my previews also came in including Sweden +2.
Well done to the many winners and check out the previews of Sunday's matches between England v Panama, Japan v Senegal and Poland v Colombia.
I've posted my thoughts on the three games and my top tips are reasoned there.
I'm backing England to win well and set up a group decider with Belgium whose boss Roberto Martinez will rest players including Eden Hazard, Lukaku and Dries Mertens who picked up knocks against Tunisia.
If England beat Panama will Gareth Southgate do the same or will he see a benefit in topping the table? Only time will tell but giving players a breather will probably be a help in the long run.
Lukaku's double against Tunisia means he and Cristiano Ronaldo lead the Golden Boot race on four and it looks a four-horse race for the prize with Harry Kane and Diego Costa.
Ronaldo is 11-4 favourite at McBookie with Lukaku 13-4 at Unibet. Kane will hope to add his two-goal tally today and is 13-2 at BetStars with Costa 6-1 at Sky Bet.
It's 20-1 bar those so two-goal Philippe Coutinho might interest some at 30-1 with Coral – and it's one quarter the odds for three places.

I watched Panama kick lumps out of Belgium on Monday – they ended up with 5 players carded and it doesn’t really get any easier for them as they play Garth Southgates England side. This will likely be another backs to the wall affair for them with England bossing possesion and they have the players with pace who can draw fouls – or in Panama’s case kick.

Fancy ze Germany’s tonight they have to win and against an ordinary Sweden team with a sickness bug in the camp.
Mexico attacked Germany from the off with pace and quick ball something Sweden don’t have and we all know when Germany need a win they usually get it.
