ANYONE betting on friendlies on Monday would have done OK with Italy, France and Turkey winning but Portugal threw away a two-goal lead to draw with Tunisia.
That result will have interested Gareth Southgate with the Africans' one of England's opponent in Russia.
The World Cup countdown continues tonight with a raft of friendlies but there's nothing major after the early-morning match between Mexico and Wales until we hit the early hours with Argentina v Haiti, Peru v Scotland and Panama v Northern Ireland.
I've posted a preview of the Scotland game and as always team news is vital before considering a bet.
I'm not a big fan of friendlies but Peru should beat a weakened Scots side and I might put up a double or treble later.
Elsewhere there's not much to look at so it will be down to the guys who prefer to be on the more obscure games.

Speaking of Peru, I’ve got them in a straight forecast with France top to get out of Group C. Think the Danes are being given way too much respect by the bookmaker and rely very much on the brilliance of one player. the Peruvians had much more sterner tests in qualifying and managed to shut the Argentinians out which isn’t an easy feat, think they may be a surprise package next month
