I DON'T like keeping you waiting but I must start this line with Saturday night's late show.

It's not ideal to put this with four 3pm kick-offs but if the first four come up you'll enjoy Blackpool v Southampton even more.

The Bloomfield Road showdown, live on BBC2 at 5.25pm, should produce goals from two sides who love to attack and who have performed well for most of the season.

Hell, Southampton have got in a Rickie Lambert a man who scores for fun while the Tangerines aren't exactly shy in front of goal.

I'm staying in the Championship with a titanic tussle at the top of the table, West Ham v Reading.

It will be a cracker if they don't cancel each other and there's no reason for that to happen with both desperate for a win. The Hammers ended a run of five consecutive score draws with a 2-0 win at Peterborough in midweek while Reading hit three against Blackpool last week and four at Barnsley recently so shouldn't let us down.

Next up it's Carlisle v Huddersfield. Jordan Rhodes is as prolific as Lambert which means Huddersfield expect to score wherever they go.

They have netted in their last six with Carlisle on target in five of their last six, including four at home to Bury. Both teams have scored in four of their last five meetings.

My second choice from League One is a game that followers of this market have been waiting for. It's MK Dons v Brentford, a fixture that has finished 3-3 twice this season – and again two years ago.

Never mind 3-3, a 1-1 will suit us just fine. MK Dons' last four have featured both to score and although Brentford have been less prolific they have slammed in five in their last two matches. Will history repeat itself? Let's hope so.

Last but not least it's into the Premier League for Wolves v Bolton. Wolves can't keep clean sheets, end of story. They sacked Mick McCarthy but his No.2 Terry Connor has fared worse by seeing his side concede 16 goals in five outings, including five at Man Utd and Fulham and McCarthy's last match was a 5-1 home defeat to West Brom.

I'm not saying Bolton will get five but a side playing with Fabrie Muamba in their hearts should net a couple on their way to a vital win.

But one of the reasons Bolton are down there is poor defending so their chances of keeping a clean sheet against a side who gave Norwich some problems up front last week look slim.

Both teams to score

Blackpool v Southampton (5.20pm)

West Ham v Reading

Carlisle v Huddersfield

MK Dons v Brentford

Wolves v Bolton

How do you split your stake of 10.00 on your permed bet, any 4 and all 5 totalling 6 bets, what’s your exact breakdown please

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Rory, you can split it any way. A tenner divided by six is £1.66 on each line but you could do 5x£1.80 and 1x£1, anything that adds up to a tenner.

5 x 1.70 foursomes and a 1.50 accumulator comes to ten pound good luck.

Come on; Blackpool – Southampton (both to score)! I’ll be working it in all the way from Sweden!

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Guys, i did say it would be exciting if it hinged on the late game so fingers crossed.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Oliver, Saints miss pen, Blackpool score pen so halfway there.

  12. Oliver 12 years ago

Darn it. So close! The missed penalty could be the winner. Nice done with the other games though!
Next time we have to be luckier..

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Oliver, I had a bad feeling when Southampton missed the pen. Would have made a difference if Lambert had been playing.

  13. Tony 12 years ago

Unlucky m8- great picks Paul. But sheer torture m8 !!!!!
No proffesional player should miss a pen.
And yep the saints are crap without Lambert.
I reckon we leave the early or late kick offs out on a Saturday, cos its either an early bath or a heart breaker if you do a straight acca like most of us probably do.
    It’s defo coming tho.
